Today I shared my EMDR & Art Therapy training with trauma therapists from Albania and Kosovo via the EMDR Association of Albania and Van On Hill. Amazing translation support, wonderful therapists and great to work with EMDR Albania, with support from Ina Haveraj. Not many people know of her Clinical Psychology background when meeting her as an Albanian Mountain Leader / guide.

I’m already looking forward to deliver a longer version in-person in the future.

Now the weather is starting to improve I’m putting the Strong Mind Climbing course .climbing into action and incorporating fall practice into each session.
This is a comfy crag for training - Petrella - so following a refresher day here, I’m sharing the technical fall practice info with some climbing partners and feeling hopeful about an active summer and a more consistently joyful state of mind on cliff sides. Fear has been extending her grip for some years and I’ve been fighting it, but feel a corner is being turned.

And we’re off! After a pep talk from the stray dogs of Durres I’ve a lovely group of talented, thoughtful art and EMDR therapists for the EMD-Art course over the next few days, with support from Chloe Smith.
I had though I might make this the last one but changed my mind this morning 😊

First video in a while.. yesterday I took part in an online meeting for people using and researching G-TEP (Group Traumatic Episode Protocol) a method derived from EMDR for processing trauma in group work.
To minimise internet issues, as I’m slowly making my way to Albania, I went to the top of a hill and recorded my talk in advance, which I could also share with the hosts in advance and subsequently share on YouTube. I was a bit of a fish out of water with this one but learned a lot from being involved.
The connection was fine and I found a beautiful spot.
