I've been mostly absent from posting for shy of a year but I'm showing my face in this space that I have mixed feelings about because it feels like time.
The world is a shocking place to be and, much of the time, Instagram does not make that any easier. However, I've learnt more about myself in the last year and how to handle being in the here and now.
There will never be a picture perfect Instagram with me. I'll post what I want, when I want to. Sometimes it will be political, sometimes it will be stuff I like and a fair bit of the time it will be about the work that I do. I am not a brand and I won't be trying to be one.
I care about this world that makes me cry and laugh each day and I'm going to keep doing what I can to make it a better place whether that's working with families to improve their birth and postpartum experiences, protesting on the streets and speaking up about the environment, the genocide in Palestine and other horrors, trying to raise my children to care as much as I do and the list goes on - some of it will be shown here but most of it will be in the real world.
With this in mind, I'll be donating 10% of any birth doula or birth photography bookings in September 2024 to as well as encouraging anyone reading this to spare a few quid and click the fundraising button. Feel free to forward, share and tag anyone London-based who might be interested.
Peace and love x
