Now that the weather is back to getting a bit colder (ππ₯Ά) itβs totally normal for your skin to feel a bit drier! But there are things we can do!! Here are some tips to get you started! β¬οΈ
1) Make sure your cleanser is hydrating and gentle. If you use an acid based cleanser am and pm and your skin is dry, this will not help and can damage your skin barrier. Ideally a non foaming cleanser to avoid stripping away natural oils.
2) After cleansing eg a shower, moisturise straight away. If you do this when the skin is still damp, it will lock in moisture better.
3) Choose products with humectants: these are ingredients that retain moisture and attract moisture.
4) Avoid showering with very hot water. Keep the water lukewarm and the showers shorter as hot water can dehydrate further.
5) A humidifier can help to maintain moisture in the air and prevent your skin from drying out. This is useful if you live in a dry climate or during winter months.
