Rosen Method Bodywork (my current practice), Reiki for animals(coming soon) & The Trust Technique (Mindfulness for people with their animals), coming before the end of 2022 Rosen Method Bodywork
In 2006 I found a leaflet about Rosen Method Bodywork in a centre for Holistic Therapies. I was in desperate need for reconnection with myself, having closed down as way of surviving life. Rosen Method's
connected touch and words were able to bypass the defensive wall of my mind (so cleverly evasive to previous modalities I'd tried). I believe that the journey to true authenticity will always be ongoing for me, but Rosen Method has given me back parts of myself I was sure were permanently lost. In Rosen Method sessions, words, touch and presence are used to facilitate clients' deep connection with themselves. Practitioners connect with areas of holding in the body (chronic muscle tension) using 'listening touch', so that letting go can take place from the inside, out. As these areas of holding release, feelings, memories and insights can emerge. Before a first session, a short phone call will be arranged, to chat through any health conditions / current major life events, and any questions you may have. I'm also happy to answer questions by email, please feel free to get in touch by email (listed above). Sessions are £60 for a 50 minute session (one hour slot). More information on Rosen Method can be found on the UK school's fantastic website: https://www.rosenmethod.co.uk/
I hold practitioner insurance and am a member of The Rosen Institute
Reiki with animals
I was attuned to Reiki II level years ago, and have used it on friends, and my own animals (sometimes to really surprising/profound effect) since then. I'm now completing the final requirements to be able to offer reiki to animals as a practitioner. The Trust Technique (mindfulness for people with their animals)
James French (who developed The Trust Technique with his partner Shelley Slingo), grew up in circumstances which led him to develop deep connections with animals. His experiences have left him with the absolute belief that animals have intelligence way beyond our understanding. In The Trust Technique, animals are looked upon with "mindful regard" - a deeply compassionate and respectful "listening". Where behavioural problems exist, it's understood that the animal is experiencing a difficulty, rather than being naughty or disobedient. Guiding the human in using a very simple, yet deeply profound mindfulness method, The Trust Technique offers the possibility for the animal, as well as their human, not only to change, grow and heal issues from the past, side by side, but also to develop a deep, healing connection with each other
I am currently training to become a practitioner in this beautiful work and can't wait to be able to share it.
