A STORY OF A TIME WHEN I HAD TO PERSEVERE. 😣😓

Back in the early 2000, I decided that I wanted a change of career. What would be better than going into a career in teaching.

I already had teaching experiences but if I wanted to teach primary school I had to complete my Post Graduate Certificate in Education.(PGGE).
At that time I had a young child but that wouldn’t me. I knew I had what it takes. It was a year long course and through thick or thin I made excellent progress, to the point where I had only 4 weeks left, when all of a sudden and out of nowhere, the forces rise up against me.

Remarks were made to me like. “ I don’t know how you people are going to make it …”

Me: 😵‍💫 What , Please clarify

Other party: “Well you people with children.”

Me: It has been done before and it can be done again.
Do you have children?

Other party: No I gave that up to concentrate on my career.

Long story short . It looks as though the ugly spirit of jealousy had raised its evil head and from then everything took a negative turn. I couldn’t finish the course.

That didn’t stop me and about a year or so later I was on another course, that had its ups and downs. God placed people in strategic places to bring me favour🧡

Throug the application of wisdom, determination and hard work and at the end of that year , I had nothing but compliments for my achievements.

I became a qualified teacher and over the years have impacted many lives.

Perseverance is the key to success 🔥

PERSEVERANCE

If anyone knew about perseverance, it was my favourite Poet, Memoirist and famous civil rights Activist.📣

She was born Marguerite Annie Johnson, and had a tough life, growing up in the segregated,South, of America, during the 1930s and 1940s. She was r***d at 8 by her mother's boyfriend, and afterwards, she stopped speaking for years.

Despite her trauma, she found her voice through writing and became a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement, working with Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.
Her most famous work is probably "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings," an autobiography about her childhood.

Yes through it all Maya Angelou pushed through and became an inspiration to many. She has left a great legacy for all of us, in the form of wise, words🌏.

One of her favourite quotes is : “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better." 🔥

She was all about pushing forward and growing 🌱

So I hope you find your voice and that you keep pushing, until you can’t push no more.
