Did you watch BBC Dragon’s Den recently (series 20 episode 6)? My Adaptability successfully obtained investment from 3 dragons for their Omeo Segway-style wheelchair.

Today I met with Cristian & Tina from the show, to see how we could collaborate with our award-winning & patented Walking Wheelchair technology. Look forward to things evolving….

SADDLE TO SEAT…Our new Walking Wheelchair model demonstrates how the saddle seat lifts the user to standing and now reverts to a conventional seat in the sitting position. This new feature, covered by the patent, is based on feedback from visitors to our stand at Naidex exhibition and has been well received.

Model by David Aviram.............
The Walking Wheelchair is for manual wheelchair users who still want to stand, electric wheelchair users with posture and the elderly with the hope that people will use it to have an eye level conversation, reach a supermarket shelf, order a drink at a bar, present at work or even walk down the aisle.

The Walking Wheelchair was invented by architect Suzanne Brewer & her school boy son Jarvis Sheehan and has been reviewed by Stoke Mandeville Hospital & The Back Up Trust. It won the 2020 Dezeen Award Public Vote in the design category and has been featured in The Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Week Junior, The Architects Journal, NR Times & the New York Insider.

On Wednesday & Thursday this week we are showcasing our Walking Wheelchair at Naidex assistive technology exhibition at Birmingham NEC, postponed from March 2020.

We can thank the Covid delay for winning an award, press coverage and grant of patent. Most importantly lockdown enabled us to make lots of friendly virtual connections, who we look forward to meeting in person this week.

Our aim remains the same; to find a company to license our patent & bring our invention to market for people to stand again. Please get in touch....

WE GOT OUR WALKING WHEELCHAIR PATENT!...After a 2.5 year process we are now the only people to have a patent for a discrete standing wheelchair like this, because we were the first to invent it.

We will be hosting a stand at Naidex exhibition at Birmingham NEC on September 15th & 16th to showcase our prototype with the aim of finding a company to license our patent & add our product to their range. .............
