We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Royal Leamington Spa, Cllr Ruggy Singh, to our Burgess Care service earlier this month 🎉

During his visit, he judged our scarecrow competition and joined some of the people we support for lunch.

Posing proudly with the winning scarecrow, his visit even caught the attention of the local press courtesy of WarwickshireWorld 📰

This August, something special happened across the UK. Hundreds of team members, friends, and the people we support came together to celebrate 30 years of Lifeways.

From garden parties and BBQs to themed events and community outings, every gathering was filled with warmth, laughter, and the sense of connection that makes Lifeways what it is.

Since 1995, our mission has been simple but bold: to support people with learning disabilities to live fuller lives in their communities. From those early beginnings, we’ve grown into the UK’s largest team supporting people with complex needs - and along the way, we’ve shared countless stories, memories, and milestones.

This celebration was really about people. Everyone who’s worked, supported, cared, or been supported. The dreams made real, the joy shared - these are what make Lifeways more than an organisation.

To all our staff, the people we support, families, and communities: thank you. Your dedication and heart are what we celebrate in this milestone year. Here’s to many more years of making a difference!

We’re so proud of this lady! Clare, a person we support in Hatfield, was supported to attend her first-ever event in Milton Keynes.

It was a day she’ll never forget as, hand-in-hand with her mum and brother, in a sea of rainbow flags and smiling faces, Clare enjoyed a powerful moment of affirmation, courage, and connection.

Behind the scenes, the team at Lifeways provided the compassion and support that made Clare’s big day possible. Ensuring the people we support feel safe, empowered and uplifted is what we’re all about and it was incredible to see Clare so happy.

She danced, waved her flag with pride, and smiled brightly as she met new friends, shared stories, and felt the warmth of a community that embraces diversity.

It’s moments like these that show how support can be truly life-changing.
