My first contact with the "Unknown" was when I was 7 and felt a strange energy in my grandma's toilet. By 14 I was getting deep insights into humanity and into the hypocrisy of organised religion. By 15 I was doing tarot readings for people, by 18 I was picking up information that I couldn't possibly know about people and by 26 I'd moved to live in Hong Kong, China, and found my spiritual teacher who taught me the life-saving art of profound deep self-inquiry in the style of the Great Spiritual Masters throughout the ages, from Rumi to Eckhart Tolle. Spirit then started communicating with me, giving me information about them too to pass on to their loved ones. On the sidelines of my more than 20 years of corporate working life as both a journalist and regional equity research editor/PR at an investment bank, I decided to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Cognititve Behavioural Hypnotherapy, Sedona Method Coaching, Reiki, Spiritual Healing, and at the famous Arthur Findlay College to learn more about spirit communication. Nothing moves me more than helping others realise that they are usually negatively hypnotising themselves most of the day :) I am passionate about the workings of the mind, about the truth and love of spirit and enabling others to empower themselves. So if you are ready to get started, and know you need to make a change, just not sure how, send me a message and let's discuss.

Kindness: The Flowing River of Energy

Imagine a crystal-clear river, its water sparkling in the sunlight. This river is kindness, a constant flow of energy that nourishes everything it touches.

Giving is the source of the river. When we offer a helping hand, a heartfelt word, a silent hug, or a random act of generosity, it’s like releasing water into the stream. This act of giving fills us with a sense of purpose and connection.

But the river doesn’t stop there. The water flows onward, reaching those in need. A kind gesture can brighten someone’s day, lighten their load, or inspire them to pay it forward. The recipient feels supported, uplifted, and perhaps even compelled to contribute to the flow themselves.

Receiving is just as important as giving. It allows the river to continue its journey. When we accept kindness with an open heart, we become part of the cycle. We don’t diminish the giver’s act; instead, we allow it to nourish us and empower us to contribute in return.

This is the beautiful dance of kindness. The energy of giving and receiving is not separate, but two sides of the same coin. By participating in this flow, we create a ripple effect of positivity that touches everything we encounter – and it feels so damn good to do it?

What are the ways you can tap into the river of kindness today?
❤️Offer a genuine smile?
❤️Compliment someone?
❤️Pay for the coffee of the person behind you in line?
❤️Listen deeply to someone who needs to be heard?
❤️Do something for someone that will make a big difference to their life but make little difference to yours?

How could you challenge yourself to be kind to someone today?

Betrayal hurts, especially in relationships (or relatingsh*ts as Zen Prem and I call them). This week, several people have confided in me about their partner “cheating”.

While the pain is real (you can feel it in the chest, can’t you?), it can also be a catalyst for personal growth. I experienced this myself when a past partner strayed many years ago. The initial sadness and anger were overwhelming, but acceptance became my key to letting go and moving on.

It wasn’t that I condoned it, I just recognised that I couldn’t change what happened.

Through self-enquiry, I asked myself, “What does cheating actually mean?” This process revealed several insights, including that the pain stemmed from buying into the old narrative that I wasn’t good enough, and that it was somehow my fault.

Sound familiar?

As soon as I recognised inherently that I couldn’t change the past, and stopped trying to argue mentally with what happened, the rawness dissipated and I felt peace again.

It wasn’t easy, I was very upset. But focusing on my raw pain (and NOT on the story of what happened) helped me rebuild my trust -- in my “Self”. I learned to trust that I can accept difficult emotional circumstances, and then make a choice about my future.

The moral of the story is that we don’t need to blame other people for their choices! And while we might not appreciate their actions, we can still question our role in how we process the impact they have on us.

Our role if we are to evolve spiritually, is to keep our heart open and our energy moving. This means acting from a space of Love (and not mind-made hardness) whether we choose to stay or go.

In my case, once I’d accepted that I couldn't change the past and stopped trying, my heart softened and I shifted out of the bu****it. I chose to live as Love (and not judgment) and stayed – all the stronger for it!

♥What are your thoughts on dealing with betrayal? Have you found ways to turn it into a positive experience? Have you questioned how you betray yourself (which we do when we make others responsible for our happiness. If you are in this situation, process your feelings then decide what you can do)?

For more insights and tools for growing through betrayal, check out our new book, Beyond Bu****it to Bliss, coming very soon!

My Story

I used to be a spiritual seeker. On the spiritual path for at least 30 years. One of those people who thought she needed therapy to fix her. But even after 30 years of experiencing numerous healing modalities and training in some of them, I was still miserable. And I used to wake up crying, a lot. I kept going though, knowing I would never kill myself because there was a spark of faith within me that as soon as I found that “something”, I would stop waking up crying and relax into the amazingness of who I truly I was.

I tried everything. Sitting with masters who taught me how to self-enquire, sitting with others who taught me how to meditate, hypnotise myself, and use the signposts in my life to know myself. Then there were those who taught me how to use heal with my hands, how to tune into spirit, how to communicate with spirit, how to channel the wisdom of universal consciousness, and a whole lot more.

But here is the thing,

NONE OF IT WORKED. NONE OF IT WAS ENOUGH TO STOP ME FROM WAKING UP CRYING. FROM WANTING TO END IT ALL, BECAUSE THE PAIN OF MY OWN EXISTENCE WAS JUST TOO MUCH TO BEAR.
