🎉 Team Spirit Level: 100% 🎉

Recently we turned our home into a mini "sports arena" - with our residents as the loudest (and funniest!) cheerleaders 👏 🥳
From super-speed spoon races 🍋🥄 to musical chairs with serious style 🎶 , balloon-popping battles 🎈, and even our manager blindfolded trying to guess staff voices.

The best part? Some of our residents jumped in and joined the fun too ♥ Their energy and cheers made the day even more special.
It was a day of joy, connection, and teamwork - proving once again that sometimes the best medicine really is laughter! 🌟

📰 Morning Reminiscence with the Daily Mirror,1953 📰

This morning, Roy enjoyed a wonderful reminiscence session with copies of he Daily Mirror from 1953 - the very year of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation. 👑

Roy was especially captivated as he read through the pages, smiling and pointing out the details. "Look at this... it's all wonderful!" he said, enjoying the journey back in time.

It was a touching moment filled with history, memory, and conversation - reminding us how special it is to pause and reflect on the events that shaped our past.

Another moving and grooving session with Juan🕺🎸

Our residents have dusted off their dancing shoes for some live rock and roll music that had everyone dancing and singing along; with tapping toes and clapping hands we had a spectacular time. 👏

But the fun didn't stop there...
Roll on penalty shoot out! ⚽ 🥅

We took aim and scored goals left right and center with a trick shot or two as well. Cheers filled the air with every goal and our very own football team was formed. (Next stop the world cup! 🌎🏆)

It was a day filled with joy and cool moves, we cant wait to get dancing again soon. 💃

Goodbye summer, Hello Creativity!

Our recent activity brought the sunshine indoors with another Arts & Crafts session - and it was all about summer vibes! 🏊
Residents had a wonderful time painting their very own swimming costumes - some bold, some bright, some even sparkly! The room was transformed with beach-themed decorations, making us feel like we were on holiday even though summer seems to be waving goodbye. ☔
To add to the fun, we played a mini Summer in the UK & Painting Quiz 🤔- plenty of laughs, a few surprises, and lots of smiles. ☺
It was a joyful and light-hearted time, filled with creativity, laughter, and sunshine in spirit if not in weather! ☀ ♥

☺️Sunday Moments of Peace ✨

On Sunday we had a lovely outing to attend Mass at St. Mary's Church of England. The service was full of reflection, hymns, and prayer, and everyone felt calm and uplifting by the experience.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a gentle stroll on Norwood Green, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. Smiles, and a sense of quiet happiness filled the morning- simple moments that make Sundays truly special.

A proper Afternoon Tea Celebration 🍵 🍪

Last week we marked National Afternoon Tea in true British style - with endless brews, a cheeky slice (or three) of chocolate cake, muffins, and enough treats to keep us grinning from ear to ear. 😝
Our residents had a cracking time with brain teasers to keep the cogs turning, plenty of chatter and we rounded it all off with a cosy film 📼 - the perfect recipe for a top afternoon!

Because let's be honest... life's always better with a nice cuppa in hand, a slice of cake on your plate, and good company all around.

🌈Pops of color and the joys of nature.🌳

This week our residents have been taking time out from their busy schedules to connect with nature. Exploring the greenery of the garden, discovering flowers, fruits and a fair few insects on their peaceful strolls. 🐞 🌻

Using our strolls for inspiration we have embraced our inner artists, painting and collaging a variety of flowers and insects. letting our imaginations run wild with big smiles and messy fingers we had a wonderful colorful time.🌷 🎨

Bunting, Beats & a Brilliant Feast!

What a day to remember! The sun was shining, the fizz was flowing ( hello ginger beer! 🍻), and our plates were brimming with tasty dishes from near and far - talk about a flavour explosion! 🍪 🥂
Our residents, families and staff came together for a fantastic day, filled with laughter, great company and some seriously impressive dance moves thanks to our amazing entertainers! 🎸 🎤 🎶
The garden was decked out with colorful decorations that made the perfect sunny backdrop for smile all around. And those delicious aromas? Let's just say, no one left hungry! 😋

Thank you to everyone who joined and made this day special - here's to more sunny memories, fizzy drinks and fun times ahead! 🎉
