🌷 Our Week at Norwood Green Care Home 🌷

And it’s only midweek, but what a wonderful week it has already been! 😉

Our lovely residents have enjoyed a lovely mix of activities, from challenging puzzles to a little pampering with manicures and relaxing hand massages. Everyone deserves a treat, and it has been wonderful to see so many happy smiles. 💅💛

There have also been sensory activities, creative weaving that required lots of focus and patience, and plenty of time spent in the garden enjoying the unexpected April sunshine. 🌞 The fresh air and warmth brought such joy and laughter to the day.

Our outings have been just as special. Residents visited St Mary's Church, Norwood Green and Our Lady, Queen of Apostles for Easter services, sharing peaceful and reflective moments together.

Back at the home, we have been singing along in the park, watching planes glide across the blue sky, and enjoying the simple pleasure of seeing children play nearby. These moments have sparked reminiscing, laughter, and some wonderful conversations. 🌼💜

And we are not finished yet! More fun activities and special moments are planned for the rest of the week. Life at Norwood Green is full of joy, connection, and little moments that make every day special. ✨

March has been a truly special month across our homes, filled with meaningful celebrations and shared experiences that have brought residents and teams together ✨

From raising awareness during Nutrition and Hydration Week to enjoying the energy and fun of St Patrick’s Day, there has been something for everyone to take part in. We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀

Life across our 46 homes is shaped by these moments, both big and small. They create a sense of belonging, spark conversation, and bring joy to everyday life, making each home a vibrant and supportive place to live 🏡💜

Behind every celebration is the dedication and care of our incredible teams, whose passion continues to create engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents 👏💜

We have been having such a wonderful time here at Norwood Green Care Home, with days full of laughter, celebration, and joyful moments shared together 🎉💜

From playing games and singing to dancing and celebrating special birthdays, there is always something happening to bring everyone together. Each day feels lively and uplifting, with our lovely residents enjoying every opportunity to connect, have fun, and make new memories alongside one another 💜✨

Music in particular brings so much happiness into our home. It fills the room with energy as residents come together to sing their favourite songs and dance with big smiles on their faces. The joy is truly infectious, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere that can be felt throughout the whole community 🎶💜

Moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate life, enjoy each other’s company, and create a home filled with happiness, laughter, and togetherness 💜😊

Join us in wishing our wonderful resident, Palma, a big Happy Birthday for this week!

Of course, we had an incredible homemade cake, there was singing and lots of smiles all round. It’s always a special time to all come together and here at Norwood Green Care Home we love to celebrate our residents' birthdays 🎉💜

We’ve also been making the most of the warmer weather, getting out in the garden and enjoying the fresh air. Some of our wonderful residents have even been picking flowers on their walks and sharing them with others around the home, which has been really lovely to see 🌸

We're all looking forward to more days like this as the sunshine sticks around 🌞

Wear a Hat Day Fun 🎩✨

Recently, our home was filled with laughter and creativity as our wonderful residents came together to celebrate Wear a Hat Day in a truly unique way. During a fun arts and crafts session, everyone designed their own “look alike” hats, with each creation full of personality, imagination and charm 💜🎨

As the session unfolded, there were plenty of giggles and proud moments as residents showcased their wonderful designs. It was a joy to see creativity flowing so freely, bringing smiles and a real sense of achievement to everyone involved 💜😊

To make the day even more special, residents and staff took part in a cheerful photo shoot, capturing all the stylish hats and happy faces. These are the moments that turn into treasured memories, full of warmth, laughter and togetherness 💜📸

A Little Time for Team, A Lot of Smiles 😊✨

Even on the busiest of days, we took a moment to come together as a team and enjoy a short but meaningful team building session. It was a chance to pause, connect and share some lighter moments that brought plenty of laughter and positivity to the day 💜😄

Through a few simple games, the room quickly filled with encouragement, support and true team spirit. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on, strengthening bonds and reminding us all how important it is to work together and lift one another up 💜👏

We also took this special time to celebrate our Employee of the Month, a truly well deserved recognition for hard work, dedication and commitment. Thank you for everything you do and for making such a difference every single day 💜🌟

It is these small moments that create lasting impact, building a stronger, happier team and a more supportive environment for everyone 💜✨

🌟 What a truly special morning it has been at Norwood Green Care Home , filled with laughter, connection, and heartwarming moments as we welcomed the wonderful students from St Mary's C of E Primary School, Norwood Green

From the moment they arrived, the room was full of energy and excitement as residents and children sat down together to enjoy a variety of board games. What started as friendly play quickly turned into a lively battle of wits, with plenty of laughter, playful competition, and a few cheeky moves that kept everyone on their toes 😉

As the morning unfolded, storytelling brought generations together in the most beautiful way. Our lovely residents shared memories and stories while the wonderful children listened, laughed, and joined in, creating a space filled with warmth, curiosity, and joy 📚

It was incredible to witness these connections forming so naturally, with smiles, giggles, and meaningful conversations flowing throughout the room. Moments like these truly show the power of bringing different generations together 💛

A huge thank you to the children for bringing such wonderful energy and happiness into our home. It is a morning we will not forget 💫

🌞What a joyful day it was at Norwood Green Care Home, filled with laughter, sunshine, and happy memories!

Valerie truly stole the show during her indoor photo shoot, posing like a superstar and bringing smiles to everyone around her. Her energy and confidence were contagious, filling the room with laughter and excitement ✨

Outside, garden strolls had residents giggling and reminiscing as they enjoyed the fresh air and warm sunshine. Stories from the past mixed with playful jokes creating a light-hearted atmosphere that reminded everyone how special these simple moments can be 🌿 💟

It was a day full of smiles, sunshine, and just the right amount of silliness. Proof that laughter really is the best medicine and that happiness can be found in every corner of our home 💫

Yesterday was an absolute St. Patrick's Day Craic

With Bus Pass To Broadway in the house, the place turned into a full-on Irish celebration - we had singalongs, feet tapping like there was no tomorrow, hands clapping, and a few "professional" chair dancers making their debut. ☺️
The music brought everyone together, and our Irish residents enjoyed a lovely reminiscence moment, sharing stories, smiles and some truly special memories from back home - the kind that stay with you forever 💟
Between the laughter, the songs and the unstoppable rhythm, spirits were lifted, moods were glowing, and energy levels were somewhere between "just one more song" and "who needs a rest anyway?"
Safe to say, it wasn't just a celebration... it was pure Irish craic, with a side of joy, connection and a lot of happy hearts. ✨

Spring has officially arrived, and we made sure to explore every bit of it 😉

Our garden stroll quickly turned into a full sensory adventure. Fresh air filled our lungs, birds sang their morning concert, and flowers seemed determined to show off their brightest colours. Everywhere we looked, green stretched out like nature itself was celebrating, and our gentlemen took it all in like true nature experts, savouring every moment of calm, colour, and sunshine 🌸

Back inside, the fun and creativity continued. Our wonderful residents dived into arts and crafts, colouring, gluing, and making artistic choices with big smiles. Laughter bounced around the room as music played in the background, and the lounge felt like a buzzing little studio full of imagination and joy 🎨

Between fresh air, creative hands, and happy hearts, the day was full of smiles, connection, and little moments of magic. From garden explorers to craft masters, everyone left feeling uplifted, inspired, and ready for more adventures together ✨

Louise enjoyed a truly brilliant afternoon filled with laughter, music, and a friendly game of dominoes. ☕ From the moment she settled in, she took full charge of the atmosphere, making sure the coffee was ready, the dominoes were set up, and some of her favourite Dolly Parton songs were playing in the background, filling the room with cheerful energy🎶

What began as a simple game soon turned into a strategic and lively match. Louise studied every domino carefully before making her moves, showing a real talent for the game and a thoughtful approach that kept everyone on their toes. Each turn was met with laughter, teasing, and plenty of conversation, making the game as much about connection as competition

The afternoon became the perfect combination of music, coffee, and friendly rivalry. The dominoes table buzzed with energy as smiles, stories, and playful debates flowed freely. By the end of the session, it was clear that the best part of the afternoon wasn’t just the game itself, but the joy of sharing time, conversation, and music in such a relaxed and happy environment🎉☕💟

A Musical Morning with Jason from Mad Bess 🎶✨

Another week, another show and what a show it was! Recently Jason from Mad Bess came into the house and transformed an ordinary day into a full-on concert experience. From the moment the first note played, the atmosphere in the room changed completely. Residents immediately started tapping their feet, swaying their shoulders, and some even wiggled happily in their chairs as the music brought so much energy and excitement🪑🎵

The morning was filled with laughter, applause and plenty of singalongs as residents joined Jason in singing familiar favourites from years gone by. It was such a joy to watch them remember the words, hum along, and share stories about the songs that brought back happy memories. The connection and camaraderie in the room were truly heart-warming 🎤 💟

Music really does have a magical way of waking up the soul and bringing people together. Residents were smiling, clapping and moving to the rhythm, enjoying the opportunity to relax, have fun, and connect with each other through the power of song. It was a memorable day full of joy, energy and togetherness that everyone will be talking about for days🎶😊✨
