A big thank you to Richard Arnold from Omega Funeral Suppliers for the installation of our new biometric security system for our mortuary. This system is state of the art allowing us to streamline our systems for looking after people in our care. We also happen to be the first funeral directors in London to have this system installed, ensuring piece of mind to the families we look after.

I personally feel this is an important information to be passed on to families who are wishing to have a cremation for their loved one.

Once the family have had a cremation for their loved one, there are various choices, the family can arrange to collect the cremated remains from the crematorium or they may choose to let the funeral director collect the cremated remains or they may wish to have the cremated remains scattered at the crematorium, no matter which choice the family make, they will receive a copy of the cremation certificate (they may have to ask for a copy if the cremated remains are scattered at the crematorium), this document is not something a funeral director can forge, it contains the deceased details, the cremation number.

If your chosen funeral director can’t provide you with the cremation certificate, something is wrong and don’t except it, report them to the relevant authorities.

By working together with families we can stop some of the bad practices that some people think are ok.
