Happy International Yoga Day to our teachers, trainees, therapists, practitioners, and all of those whose lives have been affected by yoga in one way or another 💚

The United Nations has announced the theme of 2025 as "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" which echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.

Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. In caring for ourselves, we begin to care for the Earth. 🌍

To commemorate this day, and to commit to sharing knowledge, why not share how yoga has helped you, a friend, family member or loved one, a client/student, or a community in need in the last year.

Happy Soulful Sundays: Summer Solstice

On the 21st of June, we celebrate the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, marking the official beginning of summer.

The word solstice comes from the Latin terms sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still), referring to the way the sun appears to pause at its highest point in the sky before its apparent path shifts. This visual “stillness” marks a turning point in our seasonal cycle—bringing the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere..

Embracing Yoga During the Summer Solstice

Summer represents the peak of yang energy—a time characterised by activity, vibrancy, and growth, as nature reaches its full bloom.

Your yoga practice during this period can be especially beneficial for balancing this heightened energy. By engaging in cooling, grounding practices, you can gently calm the intensity of summer, allowing yourself to slow down, reconnect, and nurture inner balance.

We'd love to hear how you adapt your yoga practice or teachings during this vibrant season. Comment below.
