Who would have thought my admiration for this Harley would turned into a deeper conversation on contentment. And a random act of kindness of the biker to offer me a photo opportunity with his bike which made my day ๐Ÿ˜Š Mindfulness take away: being in the moment, embracing whatโ€™s in front of you, and there is such thing as mutual kindness that fills my heart with gratitude.

I whole heartedly agree. There are lots of articles out there talking about how our gut health is linked to our mental wellbeing. As we get older it is imperative to eat better so that we can feel well and be well. โฃ

Cooking is an act of kindness to ourselves and our family. It is also a gratitude practice for those who grow our resources, how lucky we are to have them and the ability to cook! โฃ
โฃ
So why not give cooking a go and create something for yourself ๐Ÿฅฐโฃ

Sound is a great anchor to help us to stay grounded in the present moment. As we are in late Spring, it is a symphony of birdsong and clashing waves from the sea. Just tune into the layers of sound, the quality, tone of sound, the coming and going of it allโ€ฆ listen to them just as they are. Who knows, you may find joy just listening in the moment.

Spring has sprung! Walking, not only it is a great physical exercise, it is also a great opportunity to practice Mindful Walking. When you feel grounded in your body, your mind and eyes are open to engage more with the surroundings. What joy it is to discover little things that you might have missed if youโ€™re just dashing past. Including this little bug, exploring the edge of the flowerbed gratitude

A few months ago, I joined my colleagues at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre for our annual teachers gathering. My friend Johnny who I was in training with was very intrigued by my approach to mindfulness and how music has weaved into part of my practice. Johnny: What are the similarities between music...

This is a great "Seeing" Meditation. The importance of allowing yourself to just be and tune in to what we are seeing rather than just glancing at it. And all the tiny details we would have missed if we just looked at the painting with a busy mind! The tremendous craftsmanship of the painting and the story behind it evokes awe, an emotion that can lead to feelings such as humility, inspiration and a change in perspective.

And if you don't have 20 mins? See if you can apply a similar theory to look around your surroundings or listen to your favourite piece of music intentionally. See what details or wonders show up for you.

Experience 20 minutes of art-based mindfulness. People typically spend about 15-30 seconds looking at a painting in museums. But psychologists reckon it take...

Just want to give a special shoutout to Mission EmployAble . Their initiative to help young adults with learning difficulties to gain employment is a great cause. Today I was greeted by lovely Jake, not only he was a good waiter but he's got an amazing special power to tell you which day your birthday is going to be this year if you tell him your full birth date! Also lovely to see one of their alumni having breakfast with her grandad, how she went on and gained employment in Latimer House and enjoying a catering career as well as making amazing achievements in sports (Team GB under 20!) Did I mention the food is excellent too? So what are you waiting for? Go and support our local business and local team this week.
