Why we are choosing balance:
With a uniquely holistic approach, focussed on your needs rather than one single methodology, finding balance is at the core of our story. Born out of a very real experience and inspired by her own recovery journey, it has long been our founder Joanne Mathews’ vision to deliver carefully curated, integrated healthcare.
Following a serious car accident in 2006, it became clear that the various specialists she needed to help her recover – physios, rehab trainers, corrective and functional exercise trainers– all worked in isolation, with no information sharing. There was no one person or solution to help her.
What began as a physical rehab programme became a revelatory and life-changing experience, and, ultimately, a vow to provide others with the options that she did not have.
In fact, many of the team - including our founder - have lived through the injury, recovery and maintenance cycle. We understand and value what being fit, mobile and pain free means - and it’s this personal knowledge that drives us to support and champion you.
