Love this soft transformation 🤍
Here I used the HairStrokes technique (machine work) on very delicate skin. In cases like this, technique choice is crucial- the goal is always minimal trauma with maximum control.

We aimed for a soft, natural enhancement, respecting the client’s skin type and natural brow pattern rather than forcing density.

Pro tip:
I chose mineral pigments because they heal softer, are more forgiving on delicate skin, and help maintain a natural look over time.

In permanent makeup, the healed result is the most important part.

Yes, everything can look amazing immediately after the treatment, but the healed result is what truly matters, because this is what the client will live with for the next one to two years.

That’s why, every time I perform a treatment, I work with the healed result in mind.
My technique, pressure, depth, and pigment choice are all guided by how I want the result to look after healing, not just on the day.

Here you can see the whole process of lip tattooing - before, how the lips healed over time, and the refresh top-up 2.5 years later.

For this top up session, I only needed to slightly improve the shape and add fresh colour.
I continued to follow her lip undertone, so the result stays as natural and harmonious as possible 💋✨

✨ Lip Neutralization and What Really Happens Over Time

This is a perfect example of how lip neutralization works and how it heals in the long run.

1️⃣ Before Neutralization
The client had naturally darker, cool-toned lips. This is completely normal and very common. Lip neutralization uses warm, corrective pigments to balance the cool tones and create a softer, even base.

2️⃣ Healed After 3 Years
Notice how the colour healed into a soft, natural tone.
Neutralization isn’t about making the lips brighter immediately, it’s about gently shifting the undertone.

When the healed result remains stable even after years, that’s a sign of:
✔ correct pigment choice
✔ correct temperature selection
✔ right technique and depth
✔ balanced saturation

And yes… she also had lip filler done

3️⃣ Right After Top-Up
Today, we refreshed the colour and added a more vibrant tone. Immediately after the procedure, the lips always appear brighter and more saturated ,this is normal.

As they heal, the colour will soften and blend beautifully with her natural undertone 👄

Every client’s lip melanin level and undertone is different. That’s why proper pigmentology knowledge is essential:
– choosing the right correction colour
– understanding cool vs warm undertones
– knowing how to prevent grey or purple healed results
– building colour slowly, not oversaturating

✨ Long-lasting healed results like this happen only when skin tone, pigment temperature, undertone, and technique all work together
