Scorpio Full Moon on Fixed Stars Acrux and Alphecca

This year’s Scorpio Full Moon is at the astrological degree of two important fixed stars, but could we say it is conjunct them? No, because neither are on, or even close to, the Ecliptic. Acrux, the alpha star of the Southern Cross, can only be seen from the southern hemisphere while Alphecca, alfa Corona Borealis, is on the northern hemisphere. Yet these stars cannot be left out when we wish to understand the impact of this Full Moon, while the Sun in Ta**us is tightly conjunct asteroid Lilith, which adds the theme of revolt against injustice to the picture.

Uranus is Entering Gemini

In the small hours of April, 26 Uranus is entering Gemini and leaving Ta**us, not to return there for the next 84 years. Uranus usually stays for 7 years in a sign, both renewing things and wreaking havoc there. Whenever I explain the potential impact of Uranus to my students, I tell them to expect the unexpected. We have experienced its full impact quite spectacularly in Ta**us, which is associated with our need for harmony, wellbeing, and financial-emotional security. All those have got completely disrupted in recent years. After a brief 4 months’ visit last year, now it is finally moving into Gemini, and if we wish to guesstimate what it is going to be like we should go back to its previous visits in the sign.

Mercury – Mars – Saturn Triple Conjunction in Aries

Who is going to win on the world stage: the Communicator, the Fighter, or the Authority? Conjunctions between two fast moving planets, or a fast and a slow moving one, are relatively frequent, but triple conjunctions are quite rare. For the next 2-3 days, Mercury, Mars, and Saturn will be moving together, which last occurred in March 1998.

Unavoidable Pain: Aries New Moon on the Chiron – Eris Conjunction

The energy patterns of the first New Moon after the Vernal Equinox describe the things to initiate or renew. It is generally the strongest New Moon as both luminaries are in fiery and self-assertive Aries, thus it provides triple force. But this year’s Aries New Moon is on the Chiron – Eris conjunction, highlighting wounds of drastically altered outward circumstances.

What is ripening: luck or perseverance? This year’s Libra Full Moon is squaring Jupiter, creating a Cardinal T-Square, which is dissolved by the Black Moon Lilith’s water trine. Full Moons are about completion and harvesting, and it is up to us to decide exactly how we are going to utilise the resulting energy patterns, which, in this case, is either the escalation of tension or a strong, persistent attitude.

New Alliances Under Drastically Altered Circumstance? Pisces New Moon sextile Juno and Uranus, Chiron–Eris Conjunction

This year’s Pisces New Moon occurs only one day before the Vernal Equinox, which doubly symbolises the energy of renewal. The New Moon makes sextiles to both Uranus and Juno, and the resulting Harmony Triangle emphasizes both the need and the potential to create new alliances of world powers. The Chiron–Eris conjunction, the most important karmic astrological aspect of the year, is becoming exact on the day of the New Moon, aptly describing the chaos that is surrounding us.

Virgo Full Moon Eclipse

Aquarius New Moon Eclipse Square Uranus

This year’s first eclipse season commences with the Aquarius New Moon, which is squared by the Uranus – Dark Moon Lilith conjunction, creating considerable tension as Uranus also rules the Luminaries. Besides this tight fixed square, there are very few aspects of them, and in such cases the ones that form get special emphasis. Saturn’s Final Aries Ingress

The Lord of Karma is making its final Aries ingress at 0:10 on February 14. Last year it already spent a few months there (from the end of May till the end of August), but then it retrograded back into Pisces, which is by no means its favourite energy pattern. This is because it was ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams and transcendence, which blurred the frameworks and borders that comprise the foundations of Saturn. What can we expect while it is in militant, active, self-assertive Aries, ruled by the War Lord?
