Summer Breeze Wellbeing Fun Day!

On 22nd August, we gathered at Colwick Park with our amazing teams from Summer Breeze and Maple Manor, along with their families, for a day of fun, relaxation, and connection.
At Summer Breeze, we always create opportunities to celebrate our staff and their wellbeing – and this event was all about that!

The day was packed with joy:
⚽ Football • 🏸 Badminton • 🏃 Race • 🪁 Kite Flying
🌍 Cultural dress showcase • 🍲 Delicious food from everyone’s kitchens

KINGSCOURT--On Wednesday, 7th August, we had the pleasure of celebrating SZ’s birthday — a day made even more special by honouring his cultural preferences. We gathered at a local Chinese restaurant for a joyful afternoon. SZ beamed throughout the celebration, clearly enjoying the familiar flavours and the warm company of friends. Staff and fellow residents joined in, sharing stories, laughter, and lots of food and of course cake. The outing was more than just a meal — it was an opportunity to nurture SZ’s wellbeing through meaningful connection, cultural appreciation, and a hearty helping of happiness.

KINSCOURT-We recently enjoyed a fantastic BBQ in our garden, and what a lovely afternoon it turned out to be! The weather was on our side, with just enough sunshine setting the perfect scene for a relaxed and joyful gathering.
Staff and residents came together to share good food, great conversations, and lots of laughter. The smell of sizzling kebabs and tender meat brought smiles all around, and our garden turned into a cheerful social hub. It was heartwarming to see everyone relaxing, chatting, and soaking up the sunshine together.
We were also delighted to welcome a couple of guests from neighbouring units, which made the occasion feel even more special. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect, unwind, and simply enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Moments like these remind us of the joy that comes from community, sunshine, and shared experiences. A huge thank you to the entire team as everyone contributed to make it a success. We're already looking forward to the next one!

KINGSCOURT--Residents WS and JS had a fantastic day out at the world-famous Notting Hill Carnival, joined by Home Manager ZB. The streets were alive with music, colour and excitement as they wandered through the lively crowds, marvelling at the dazzling costumes and energetic dancers. They sampled the delicious food, soaked up the festival atmosphere, and even danced a little, sharing in a celebration of culture and community. With smiles all around and plenty of laughter, they had plenty of stories to tell when they got back home.

Canterbury House-Canterbury House staff, Harriet, gave birth to a healthy baby girl on the 1st of this month.
Mother and baby are doing well, and we all can’t wait to meet her new daughter.
Congratulations!!!
On the 21st of last month, two clients went to Eastbourne for the day. The trip was arranged by the organisation and everyone had fun. The weather was perfect, and the sea breeze was fresh.

Conifers -On the 21st August, two clients were escorted to Eastbourne for a day trip out organised by the company.
They went on the Big Wheel, the pier, had an ice cream and walked along the promenade and beach. The weather was a perfect temperature and lots of fun and laughter was had. Gifts and memorabilia of the day were purchased for their rooms and unit.

Greyhound Lane-The visit to the Eastbourne beach at the end of August seemed to be a stupendous experience for the GHL team. The clients IL & PM enjoyed going to such place and it never fails to amaze them. They had a quality time along with the staff and enjoyed the scrumptious fish and chips meal along with their favourite drinks. Besides that, they went to cool off at the beach and had a relaxing experience while enjoying the sun. They saw the waves and listened to the calm sea, and they mentioned that waves take away their stress and problems in no time. They had a good photoshoot, and staff captured their favourite pictures so that they keep these gorgeous memories for life. It was a great way to cool-off and say goodbye to the summer season. “Sayonara summer… see you next year”

This incredible group of professionals worked with such openness, energy, and commitment, and I truly learned so much from each of them. Watching them grow into confident trainers ready to share their expertise was inspiring. 🌿

Celebration of Summer with Variety of Healthy & Colourful Salads at Norcrest
Every summer, Norcrest comes alive with vibrant colours, culture, aroma, and flavours of its much-loved fruits and vegetables. This seasonal celebration has become a highlight of the warm months, combining health, flavours and togetherness.
The event has quickly become a seasonal highlight. A day of flavour and funs, held in the heart of Norcrest during the peak of summer. This showcases the best of seasonal and fresh pickup fruits and vegetables.
Celebrations of natural colours and different cultural salads, is all about more than just eating well. It is an experience where service users enjoy hands on workshop, on how to prepare simple fruits and vegetables salads.
Norcrest service users was supported for shopping for the event, to pick the best fruits, and make it fun filled. The staff gave live demonstrations to show how to do salads with picks up creative tips of pairing flavours and making healthy meals choices at home.

Greyhound Lane -🏅 Annual Sports Day Celebrations 🎉

This year’s Annual Sports Day was a fantastic event filled with energy, teamwork, and lots of fun. Service users enthusiastically took part in a variety of games and competitions, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship.

⚽ Paul gave an outstanding performance on the football field, scoring three goals and securing 3rd place 🥉. He also shone in the Bin Bag Race, where his determination and quick pace earned him the gold medal 🥇.
🏃‍♂️ Ian also impressed everyone with his speed and teamwork in the Relay Race, where he secured the silver medal 🥈.

🎨 Adding to the excitement, the GHL team won the prize for the Best Annual Sports Day Banner. They received a special gift hamper 🎁, with much credit going to staff member Jasmin, whose creativity and hard work made it possible.

The day was filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of cheering 👏. Congratulations to all participants and supporters for their wonderful efforts and achievements! 🌟

Service User IH’s birthday Celebration at The Grange.
Last week on 26th of August 2025, TG team celebrated our Service user IH’s 68th birthday. IH Wished for a lowkey birthday celebration at home with other service users and staff. AS per IH’s wishes IH’s birthday was celebrated inhouse with other service users. All SU’s enjoyed the birthday celebration along with yummy cake and some KFC Chicken and chips.
