Greyhound Lane-
In the month of June, the GHL team and residents had a good splash in the water by visiting the Hailing Island Beach side. Staff arranged their own transport to take clients to such a peaceful and marvellous place. There, they had a scrumptious meal before going to visit the seaside in accordance with the SUAG theme of water for the month of June 2025.. They all had their favourite meals at ISLA BAY restaurant. Afterwards, they all visited the seaside and had a marvellous time, and they look forward to going there some time again as memories are made by visiting such beautiful places. In the end, they all had some ice-cream to cool off the heat before wrapping it all up. Splash Splash Splash!

In July, the head office organized the day trip as an outdoor activity for the whole company to have a view of the wildlife and see their way of life. The three residents PM, IL & DG went for a day trip to the Howletts Wildlife Sanctuary with the staff and had a stupendous time there. They saw the lions, gorillas, elephants and much more. They had a long walk as they saw all the animals along the way and had lunch and snacks as well. They all tried to make the sounds of their favourite animals and laughed together. It was a time well spent, and such memories will never fade away. Well done team GHL. Hooray Hooray… it’s a Holi holiday..

The Grange-From creative moments to community connections - our amazing service users at The Grange have been making the most of the week!
CM, KB, and PR had a lovely time visiting the local church, connecting with people over tea and biscuits and enjoying some peaceful community time.
Back at home, KB and PR got crafty! They created a beautiful photo scrapbook full of memories, and KB made a thoughtful welcome-back card for his previous carer who's just returned from international travels. So much heart in every detail!
When the heatwave hit, NM, KB, and PR stayed cool with ice lollies at home, while PR treated herself to a refreshing iced coffee at Costa.

Canterbury House-
One of our clients, LH, attended the company day trip to Howlett’s Wildlife Park on the 3rd of July’25 escorted and supported by staff.
The weather was beautiful, and it was so nice to venture outside into the sunshine, spend the day with other clients from other units and to see some wild animals. Some of the animals were classed as extremely endangered which made seeing them even more special.
The past week has seen two of our clients celebrate their birthdays, MB & DC.
Both clients chose themselves how they wished to celebrate their special days, what gifts they wanted, what to eat and drink and whom to celebrate with, always working in a person-centred approach.

Retreat Lodge Holiday Trip to Butlin’s Bognor Regis & Gosport

Our clients at Retreat Lodge had a truly memorable holiday, filled with nature, creativity, and vibrant social experiences. During their visit to Butlin’s Bognor Regis they enjoyed beautiful landscapes, explored new horizons, and relaxed at the Clouds Café. Everyone fully immersed themselves in group activities, which sparked laughter, bonding, and joy.

A highlight of the trip was the visit to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth where clients marveled at the New Millennium experience walked across the glass floor admired aircraft lights, and took in panoramic views from the top. The mix of cultural sights and natural beauty left a lasting impression.

SU also had the chance to enjoy a traditional high tea, delicious buffet breakfasts and dinners and engaging live cooking sessions. The trip was not only fun it supported mental well-being, encouraged teamwork, and created cherished memories that everyone will carry with them.

These moments reminded us of how important it is to step away from routine, connect with others, and recharge through shared experiences.

Haven Flats -HF service users took the advantage of the beautiful sunshine with a delightful
trip to Strawberry picking Local Farm in Esher
It was a truly enriching day out as the service users had the chance to enjoy the fresh air and connect with nature in a hands-on way. For many, it was their first time picking strawberries straight from the fields – a new and exciting experience! They also had the opportunity to explore other parts of the farm, including the courgette and broad bean fields, which sparked curiosity and conversation.
After their farming adventure, everyone gathered for a relaxing and well-deserved lunch, sharing laughs and stories from the morning. The outing provided not only sensory stimulation and physical activity, but also meaningful moments of joy, learning, and social interaction.
A truly memorable day for all involved!

Springlake-The perfect, impromptu event for staff and residents on a calm summer’s evening, BBQ party gain interest from all our internal stakeholders, and with a plentiful helping of lamb chops, chicken legs, wings, plenty of bites and of course drinks. It is always a great themed BBQ to host, especially when bringing out the British bunting and cooking the British classics.
