Our lovely Alien Ruby came to see Dr Bella for a filler maintenance following her 4ml dermal filler appointment we did 18 months ago. As her previous product had slightly metabolised over the 18 months this week’s treatment focused on restoring structure and support rather than creating new volume 💁‍♀️

A total of 3ml was placed between the cheeks, chin, and smile lines for a little refresh ✨

Alien supermodel Elodie 😍

Nurse KJ & Meg met Elodie a couple of years ago at our Bristol clinic, as a young trans girl with very clear goals on her aesthetic and we knew we could help her get there.

First of all, she needed a full lip rehab unfortunately but now the lips are back better than ever 😍

Elodie came to us last week for some structural work and a rhinoplasty and at the start of her appointment she said something that of course we jumped at:

When did your lips get so hot?!

It’s that regular rehab post where we talk you through the process and remind you how unscary it is with Alien! Stop watching people cry during a dissolve on TikTok!

Appointment 1: Consult & IDT - the IDT is a small injection of the dissolving enzyme used into your forearm, we then monitor this for a period of time and establish whether you’re presenting with any hypersensitivity.

Appointment 2: The Dissolve 😵‍💫: now this is the one you’re all terrified of. The enzyme comes as a powder and we have to reconstitute it into a liquid form, now there are 2 main products for this. One of them is cheaper and stings like a B@ and the other is more expensive and fairly painless - which own do you think creates better clickbait TikTok content!! You’ll be pleased to know we use the more expensive one 😮‍💨

Appointment 3: Your Refill date is here! Yay! 4-6 weeks post dissolve you can have your lips refilled. We recommend 1ml as this replaces any depleted collagen (don’t worry your body will do this over time too!) plus adds some soft volume back into the lip.

The absolute BEST time to do this is over the winter period - our January diary will open next week and everyone knows January is the month to look like a gremlin before your spring butterfly reveal!

Nurse KJ reminding you that it’s almost rehab time!
If you’ve been thinking about refreshing or restarting your lips, now’s the perfect time to plan your Lip Rehab journey.

This treatment takes place over three appointments:
1️⃣ Consultation & Patch Test
2️⃣ Dissolve (the emotional one 😭)
3️⃣ Refill (the fun part — hooray! 🎉)

During your consultation, we’ll assess your lips and recommend the ideal downtime between your dissolve and refill, this is usually 3–4 weeks depending on your lip health.
