مريضة خضعت لعملية استئصال جزئي للثدي والعقد اللمفاوية تحت الابط , وبعدها استئصال للغدة الدرقية ،
مع وجود امتداد معظم الجزء الايسر ( داخل تجويف الصدر ) وامتداد ( للخلف ) من الرقبة ، بسبب ( نشاط عمل الغدة المفرط) ،،،

During the ( Breast Cancer Awareness Month ),and as part of a series of visits by the British delegation , in cooperation with the ( MOH , MAP and the administration of Rafidia Hospital ) ,the delegation was received, which included several specializations in (breast Cancer ),where many cases were evaluated,
U/S, Mammogram, Core and Stereotactic Bx and the necessary operations were performed for them. Some cases were discussed on ( MDT ) between the local staff and the delegation, and the appropriate treatment plan was developed for them.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the delegation's mission.
We are ready to assist in any consultation from colleagues in any case and share it with our colleagues abroad to reach the best for our patients...

After the recent opening of the (Breast Unit) in Rafidia Hospital, and within the visits carried out by volunteers from (UK) under the auspices of the (MAP), and in coordination with (MOH), we had a program with them specialized in the work of the (Breast Unit) And the service that is provided to patients, and during their presence for a period of (5 days), the (unit staff) with the delegation did :
1) Examining approximately 60 patients with cancers and breast diseases, and making the necessary
U/S and Mammogram for them
2) doing 10 (biopsies) of the breast and axilla, with (clips) and (wires) insertion inside the tumors in the breast
3) Performing 5 advanced surgeries in breast cancers
4) Holding a workshop for various specialties in the field of (breast diseases and cancers ) in the northern West Bank
5) Discussing some cases ( MDT ) with the doctors of surgery, oncology and radiology, and coming up with the recommendations of the treatment plan for them
6) The delegation's meeting with (the Palestinian Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health) and (the General Administration of Hospitals) and obtaining full support from the Ministry for the work of the (Breast Unit) in Rafidia hospital.

بعد افتتاح ( وحدة الثدي ) مؤخرا في مشفى رفيديا ، وضمن الزيارات التي يقوم بها المتطوعون من ( بريطانيا ) برعاية مؤسسة العون الطبي للفلسطينيين ( MAP ) ، وبالتنسيق مع ( وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية ) ، فقد كان لنا برنامج معهم يختص ب عمل ( وحدة الثدي ) والخدمة التي تقدم للمرضى ، وخلال وجودهم مدة ( 5 ايام ) قام ( طاقم الوحدة ) مع الوفد ب :
1) معاينة ما يقارب 60 مريضة باورام وامراض الثدي وعمل الصور التلفزيونية والشعاعية اللازمة لهن
2) عمل 10 ( خزع ) للثدي ، مع وضع ( كبسات ) و ( اسلاك ) داخل الاورام في الثدي
3) اجراء 5 ( عمليات ) جراحية متقدمة في اورام الثدي
4) عقد ورشة عمل لمختلف التخصصات في مجال ( امراض واورام الثدي ) في شمال الضفة الغربية
5) مناقشة لبعض الحالات مع اطباء الجراحة والاورام والاشعة ، والخروج بتوصيات الخطة العلاجية لهم
6) اجتماع الوفد مع ( وكيل وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية ) و ( الادارة العامة للمستشفيات ) والحصول على الدعم الكامل من قبل الوزارة لعمل ( وحدة الثدي ) .

This is a case of a woman in her ( fifties ), who was complaining of a (Breast Cancer ) . A ( clip ) was placed in the tumor before ( neuadjuvent ) chemotherapy, and after the treatment was ( completed ), an U/S was done for the breast, and there was NO ( tumor ), and due to the ( large ) size of the breast, the location of the ( clip) was ( NOT ) determined by the U/S , so it was resorted to making a ( Mammogram ) , where the place of ( clip ) was ( clear ), and a ( wire localization ) was placed in the place of the ( clip ) under the ( mammogram ).
After that, the patient underwent ( WLE ) the tumor site with ( clip) excised , and this was verified by ( imaging ) the ( sample) in the operating room.
( Further superior margin taken )
The final ( pathology ) result was:
(Complete Pathological Response) , and there is NO ( tumor ) ,
Just scaring and fibroadenosis ...👍🤱
