A day of deadheading, trimming and tidying 🌿🌿 exactly what I needed today 💚

It is planning time for the garden at the moment so I’m looking at seeds and planning what ill sow next week for some autumn jump starter annuals next year!
Also as per standard reorganising the borders for even more impact!

🌿Wedding Flowers 💐
It goes without saying that when we decided to get married my immediate thoughts went to flowers 😂 I had a real vision to do alot of the flowers myself and bring a personal touch to the day. But I was also aware of my limitations and also how hard it is to get flowers to grow on time for you and to condition well and also just how emotional I’ll be feeling generally and not wanted to give myself too much stress. All details of what we did are here and I’ll post more photos on my stories now!
I can’t recommend it enough but ask for help and it’ll be golden ✨✨

😍😍😍 I still have no words. We are on cloud 9 but all I can say is - I love my man and damn don’t my dahlias look good 😂💐🌿🌿🌿🪴

Another day another harvest 🥒

Definitely smaller yields this year on all my veg and flowers, the lack of sunshine ☀️ in May/June really showed and then the harsh heat of Aug hasn’t been their friend

But still nothing beats homegrown 😋

One day out of the house and miss my pooch like crazy!

Was never a huge dog person before I got Jodie, I liked dogs but was never really into them like some people. it took a full year of convincing and now I can’t stop loving alllll the dogs! I am a full convert now they are amazing! There’s not a dog that I go by that I don’t start swooning over 🤗

We got Jodie as a rescue and she has been the most perfect dog, so friendly, picks up training v quick, so athletic, super cuddly, and smiles constantly ! Not an inch of nervousness in her 🤩 it really feels like fate we found her 🧡

🌿🐝 Wildlife and plants are one of my favourite areas to explore and it is coming more and more pressing that we all understand the dance between these and the role we play.

A lot of people DM me asking about pollinator friendly plants so here is a quick 5 of my favourites that I grow for the bees, butterfly’s, bird and caterpillars

It is estimated that 1/3 of our food comes from pollination, and often it is in our gardens and hedgerows is where they over winter, hatch and build their own food supplies before they get to work

So I ask you to consider your plants you put in your green spaces?

The best thing we can do is grow more native plants to protect the species and diversity we have in our localities and I’ll speak more to this another time, but this is to show it doesn’t only have to be all wild flower seeds it can be some lovely perennials like some of the ones here

The amount of birds in my garden is just amazing and I can’t thank the plants enough for making the party 🎉
