🏑 Property Purchase Tax Reduction in Costa Blanca from June 2026 πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

There is some positive news for anyone planning to buy property in the Valencian Community. From 1 June 2026, the Property Transfer Tax (ITP) for resale properties will be reduced, which means slightly lower purchase costs for buyers.

The new ITP rates will be:
β€’ 9% for properties up to €1,000,000
β€’ 11% for properties above €1,000,000

For example, if you buy a property for €300,000, the tax before was €30,000, and from June 2026 it will be €27,000, which means a saving of €3,000.

For new build properties, the VAT (IVA) will remain at 10%, and Stamp Duty (AJD) will be slightly reduced to 1.4%.

Please note that the tax is calculated based on the higher value between the purchase price and the cadastral reference value. In some cases, reduced tax rates may also apply, for example for buyers under 35, large families, or buyers with disabilities.

Overall, this change will make buying property in Costa Blanca a bit more affordable and is good news for both investors and future property owners.
