😫🤪

I tried a 10 minute meditation this morning but lasted only 3 minutes!! 🙈🧘🏼‍♀️

Why? Because all I could think about was what I had to today, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday…. etc etc. And what NEEDS to get done before December 23rd.

🤯🤯

My mantra at the moment:
Complete one thing at a time! ✅

Some movement in my day is better than no movement ✅

I am only me and that’s just fine. 😇 (i.e. Not superwoman!🦹🏼‍♀️)

QUESTION: Hands up if anyone else feels the same?? 🙋🏼‍♀️

What does I mean to feel overwhelmed?

What triggers it?

In November, these were just bulbs in the soil.

No colour.
No blooms.
Just hope, a little time, and intention.

I planted them with a quiet goal: to create something joyful for my future self. ⚡️

It took patience. No instant results. No guarantees.

And yet… months later, this is what I wake up to. 🌅

A small vision, now real. A small win, in full colour.

This garden reminds me daily: growth takes time. But you’ll never bloom if you don’t plant the seed. 🌱

I really used to think ‘mindfulness’ was piffle and nonsense. But I’ve done a 180 and when I can’t go for a swim, my head and mind feel fuzzy. So a swim sorts me out. 🏊🏼‍♀️

I cycle to the Serpentine so I get to see what’s going on at street level and feel the seasons (yup - I’m one of those nauseating cold water swimmers too!) 🥶

I see brides having their photos taken on Westminster Bridge before 8am with The Houses of Parliament as a backdrop! 😮 💒 (too early for dressing up and full makeup! 💤)

It seems bonkers to me I can cycle right in front of Buckingham Palace and I can cut across Hyde Park corner. 🏨 🚖

Zen Mode is installed as soon as I enter Hyde Park - the trees 🌳, the guards on horseback 🐎, the 🪿 and 🦆 , plenty of squirrels and 🐕 being walked by their immaculately dressed owners. 🪴 🌹 🌺

Whatever the weather - I’ll manage a dip and have a long or brisk swim. ☺️ and start my morning with a 🥐 and ☕️
