🌿 Good for the Environment. Great for Your Landscape. 🌿

From bare earth to full bloom — what a transformation! 🌸✨

šŸ“… On 12th June 2025, our team seeded wildflowers (supplied by Eastern Garden Machinery) alongside a stream, protected with a GT Coir erosion control blanket.

This eco-friendly solution prevents soil erosion, protects water quality, and supports biodiversity.

šŸ“ø Fast forward to 5th August 2025 — the bank is bursting with wildflowers in full bloom, creating a thriving, sustainable habitat. 🌼 šŸ

āœ”ļø The coir blanket will naturally biodegrade over 2–3 years, leaving behind nothing but healthy vegetation and a stronger environment.

šŸ‘ Fantastic work by Team Landscapes — helping nature and people flourish together.

We’ve had some glorious sunny days lately, but that means your plants will be feeling the thirst.

If you want a lush, healthy garden, now’s the time to sharpen up those watering habits.

Here are my top tips for proper watering:

Water deeply and less often. Don’t just give your plants a quick sprinkle every day. A good soak encourages roots to grow deeper into the soil, making your plants stronger and far better at coping when it’s dry.

Water either early in the morning or late in the evening, when less is lost to evaporation.

Give the soil time to absorb the moisture. Move on to the next plant and then come back for a second go if needed.

Avoid wetting the leaves if you can, and focus the water on the base of the plant where it’s needed most.

Keep up the deep watering and you’ll notice your garden gets healthier, greener, and tougher during those hot spells.

With this beautiful weather we have been having, you're probably using your garden more often.

But while you sit there and look around, do you think it could do with a makeover?

Even though Summer is already upon us, September is still a beautiful and sunny month, so don’t worry, it’s not too late to book us for your garden transformation!

At Andrew Le Maistre Landscapes, we love working alongside you to map out designs, test ideas with spray paint, and create a garden that feels just right for you.

We can get busy and move early, so you'll be promised shorter lead times and a stress-free journey from design to completion.

Here's an example of one of our recent favourites.

We brought new life to a neglected pond and swapped out overgrown Leylandii for a stunning weeping willow centrepiece.

The result? A peaceful outdoor space where the whole family wants to spend their summer evenings.

So if you’re still thinking about a garden refresh, now’s the perfect time.

When it comes to digging, breaking, and tackling heavy-duty jobs, our Takeuchi excavators are the real workhorses of the team.

Big or small, tricky access or wide open spaces, these machines have seen it all.

But why do we rate them so highly?

Small but mighty: Our 1.1-tonne excavator can nip through spaces as tight as 760mm. Perfect for those narrow garden gates and awkward spots that would stump bigger diggers.

It's super versatile: With concrete breakers and a choice of buckets, these machines handle the lot, from delicate trenching to ripping up old concrete.

They offer serious power: Our larger excavator comes fitted with a post rammer, making tough fencing jobs a breeze.

We’re so impressed with our Takeuchi’s performance, we happily recommend them to anyone looking for reliable kit.

Big thanks to Mat and Derrick at Crimp and Arc () for sourcing both machines and for keeping them in top shape with expert servicing and repairs when we need it.

Whatever your project, our Takeuchi excavators are always ready to get stuck in.

If you’ve got a job that needs power and precision, give us a shout: https://bit.ly/4iiVb0o

Are you looking to create an instant green barrier in your garden?

Instant hedging is the way to achieve your vison.

Grown in one-meter-long troughs, these hedges are easy to plant and provide immediate privacy and visual appeal.

Here’s how it works:

We set out a string line, open a trench, and plant them right next to each other. There are no gaps, just a seamless green wall.

We can remove your existing hedge, enrich the soil, and plant your new instant hedge all in one go.

While instant hedging is naturally more expensive than planting individual hedging plants, many choose this option over traditional fencing for its aesthetic benefits and natural charm.

Why choose instant hedging?

Immediate impact: You don’t have to wait for saplings to grow. Enjoy the beauty of established hedges right away.

Versatile design: Perfect for creating privacy screens, defining boundaries, or adding structure to your outdoor space.

Low maintenance: Once planted, these established hedges require minimal care compared to younger plants.

At Andrew Le Maistre Landscapes, we’re your one-stop shop for instant hedging needs.

We can remove your existing hedge, enrich the soil, and plant your new instant hedge, all in one go.

Want to keep your garden looking its best all summer long?

Here's Andrew's latest top tip, and this month, it's all about deadheading.

Deadheading is the term used for removing faded or spent flowers.

In removing dying flowers, you encourage your plants to put their energy into producing more blooms rather than seeds.

Here’s how you should deadhead for the longest blooms:

āœ‚ļø Use clean, sharp secateurs or snips.

āœ‚ļø Snip just above the first set of healthy leaves or a new bud. Don’t just pull the petals off!

🌷 For bedding plants and annuals, you can pinch off the flower head with your fingers.

Make deadheading part of your regular gardening habits.

Deadheading not only keeps your garden tidy, but it also means more colour for longer.

Give it a go and see the difference!

Our compact grinder squeezes into the tightest spots and is perfect for those awkward corners. While our larger machine takes on the biggest, toughest stumps with ease.
