Home is where your loved ones are 💝

I feel fortunate to nearly always be “home” because loved ones are always near.

LA-MCA was the best year yet! 🤩 So much fresh content from respected colleagues and this conference is small enough to feel like family yet big enough to ever be bored! thank you for making us all feel “HOME” again!

I flew straight from Beverly Hills to New York City to see our boys on their spring break! No sleep, just hit the ground running 🏃‍♀️ seeing old friends from Camp Newman, Alyssa & Ben for some Dim Sum, then off for Daniel Ratcliff’s amazing play, then dinner at Ouji.

Meanwhile I am being flooded by your DMs with much love and support. I love and respect you all and cannot wait to hug you when I see you!

🥳 Happy Tox Tip Tuesday! 💃🏻

I have received a lot of messages this week from Patreon Peeps 🐥 about dilution.

⌛️ Over 22 Years ago a few doctors decided on a dilution and the FDA trials were conducted with 2.5 ml. per 100 u Botox. My personal opinion is the results we all got 22 years ago are not nearly as impressive as we see now. Our eyelid ptosis rates and other unwanted effects such crooked smiles seem to be MUCH lower.

🧐 Why? Our collective knowledge has dramatically increased over the years 🧠 Now, we understand how narrow these muscles can be, and we know where they exist on bone, in the SMAS layer, and where they attach to the skin. 🔍 We know how to find these muscles on each unique patient based on the 🤏 feel of the muscles moving, the way the skin creases and moves, and our baseline knowledge of anatomy 💪🏼

💉 If you want just one standard dilution in your practice, I would highly recommend 1 ml. (Off-label) Dilution. It is easy to double that saline in your syringe if you need more spread. If you want to do microtoxin, you can double it again for a 4 ml. Dilution. Easy! 😃

🤔 So how do I dilute with other brands? With Daxxify I dilute with 0.5 ml saline because I believe it is very similar to 50 units of Botox, Xeomin, or Jeuveau. With Dysport I also dilute with 1 ml. And I give it some respect and will decrease the units a bit in tight spaces because it has a beautiful field of effect.

🎯 Precision is my goal 🥅 Less Liquid = less spread.

Our patients who received injections with Ariessence Pure PDGF have been very happy! .purepdgf .act.redding.ca act.ashland.or

💝 Results here were just ONE TREATMENT!!!

😊 This beautiful patient has tried HA fillers in the past and had to have them reversed. She just isn’t a good candidate for fillers in this area. In the last couple of years she had a few PRF EZ Gel treatments with nice, natural improvements 😃 But she still had some texture issues and a blue tint she felt made her look tired.

We decided to try Ariessence Pure PDGF to see if it would help and it DID 🤩

What we learned:
✅ More downtime than PRF EZ Gel or filler
✅ More discoloration & puffiness too
✅ More exciting results with one treatment!
✅ Took one month to completely resolve
✅ she is still noticing improvements at almost 2 months later (will take more photos at 3 months and will share)
✅ we used 3:1 Bacteriostatic Saline ratio and injected 1 ml. On each side very superficially. ✅ Not everyone will be a candidate for superficial injections.
✅ We may need to inject deeper for some skin types that may hyper-pigment easily.
✅ some patients may form nodules from neovascularization. This may take weeks to resolve. I have heard feedback from esteemed colleagues who have seen this happen
✅ We tried this in scalp for hair rejuvenation first and have seen amazing results.
✅ Injecting Pure PDGF into & under skin is a legal & off-label procedure and is new to the USA. We are learning so much as we share 😍

❓Did you know our skulls often have extra holes 🕳️ in it? (Accessory foramen) Out of these holes springs arteries, nerves and veins. (Answer poll below) ⬇️

📆 Each month I have the honor of examining 6 anatomical specimens thanks to selfless donors 😇 I am always excited to find these extra foramen while dissecting, 🔪 or when looking with an ultrasound on my patients and colleagues. .head.and.breakfast 💀 🍳

This discovery makes me more careful to aspirate 💉 before placing filler on bone with a needle. I feel safer with a cannula on bone for some procedures such as chin, tear troughs, pyriform, and temples.

6 years ago yesterday lives were lost including firemen and sweet children. We were instantly homeless overnight but were wrapped in love from so many wonderful people. We felt loved and supported. Today the Park Fire 🔥 is ripping North toward friends homes. It has already taken so much. Please send support to all in its wake but mostly give them love and anything they need. Community is our biggest source of healing ❤️‍🩹

This 22 year old man wants to but the brakes on male pattern baldness without taking pills 💊 or future surgery 🔪

We have wonderful non-surgical options at Disappearing Act that are seeing exciting results 🤩

This patient had a quick Tixel2 treatment which he said was painless 🥳 It has no needles or lasers, just uses a quick touch of heated points. Then we drizzled 💦 Ariessence Platelet Derived Growth Factors (PDGF) 🌱 over the top right afterwards. He also used our topical compounded solution of minoxidil and Finasteride. He is so excited 😆 with his results. We plan to do 2 more before he goes back to school for his graduate degree 📜
