How to reset your grainy lip balms and face balms if they have gone grainy because of the cold weather!

❄️ melt your balm in a double boiler or bain Marie
❄️ pop it in the microwave for short intervals (check your packaging is compatible first!)
❄️ quickly cool it down un the fridge or freezer

You'll be left with a smooth balm again!

If you're not bothered about it being smooth, use as normal and let the little crystals melt on your skin like snowflakes ❄️

I always love mixing up the products in my facial kit according to my clients and, of course, the weather

Some fortifying new additions to support your skin barrier from head to toe now that it's a wee bit nippy

InLight's cleansing oil is a secret hero and I urge you to try it if you haven't already. Same goes for the chamomile scented body butter to keep the lavender and geranium options on their toes and who doesn't need a lip balm right now!?

First day back in the facial studio, and it feels so good!!

Saw some of my regulars, which is always a highlight. I'm not sure how relaxing it was for them because we chatted constantly about the holidays 🫣 and met 2 sweet new clients, one who had such a dramatic depuff thanks to the power of gua sha, I was so happy 😊

2025 was a whirlwind for Blomma!

We closed our Coal Drops Yard store and opened a new chapter in Angel, splitting ourselves across 2 spaces to reimagine our retail business due to rising costs and changes to the retail landscape. One is a peaceful facial studio and the other a space to immerse yourselves in selfcare through our growing menu of workshops to help you discover new products, techniques and restorative moments

Beginning in the garden studio we worked through January and February to transform a damp, mouldy space into a natural skincare haven! Brightened up even more by a stunning mural courtesy of our friend and customer Chantal in the spring

May brought a big downpour and flooded our studio, moving us temporarily and serendipitously into the front space we now occupy permanently...everything happens for a reason

Though 2025 has had some major road bumps and Lolly and I have had to push even harder than we did before to stay afloat, juggling personal stuggles at the same time, we are ending the year reflecting and appreciating what a seismic year 2025 has been for Blomma

Some highlights are:

🌟 teaching gua sha in Harrods
🌟 giving away over 250 free workshop places to people in need in our local area
🌟 launching some of our brands in Heathrow airport
🌟 being featured in a guide to calm in London
🌟 taking our workshops into offices and homes in some of the coolest places around the UK from skyscrapers to record labels and cocktail bars with lots of people welcoming us to their homes too
🌟 learning more complex skincare formulations and advanced massage techniques to hone our craft
🌟 spending quality time with our community at VIP events, parties and at the peaceful facial studio
🌟 collaborating with friends old and new on events and experiences

A lot has changed but the heart of our small company hasn't; providing you with advice on your natural skincare, makeup and self care but in a more meaningful, in depth way. It's brought us no end of joy and we are hoping 2026 brings us more refinement so that we can serve you all better

Ending our 2025 on a high with a very busy lip balm making class today!

Last of our Christmas party looks is full of sparkles!

Anne who was our shop manager at Coal Drops used to use Barefaced Beauty's gold shadow as a liner and it looked so good so I took inspiration from this and added some sold black eyeliner underneath and a satin red lipstick for a glamorous evening look which was the amber shine from Bomonde

What a night!

Thanks to customers old and new who came to our Christmas shopping evening. It was so fun to share a drink with you and help you find gifts for your loved ones.

We enjoyed seeing all of the thoughtful self care pledges you made on our Christmas tree too and loved catching up with Emma from Odylique

As usual we didn't have much time to take photos but here are a couple incase you missed it. Don't worry if you did, you can still visit us in person to pick up your gifts Wednesday to Saturday 11am to 5pm weekedays and 10am to 1pm Saturdays with some extended opening hours 2 weeks before Christmas too. Alternatively if you need some help shopping online you can book a 10 minute video consultation with us!

A note on Black Friday...

As we do every year, or not do as the case may be, we don't have a big campaign. As much as we might need a sales boost after a tough year in retail, it wouldn't feel right because we have always been vocal about avoiding being overly promotional as a business

We pride ourselves on helping our customers find the right products for them, not the products that we need to hit certain targets on, and we also champion minimalist routines, multi functional products and even buying less. I'm such a terrible sales person because I'm often telling people not to buy something until they've used up what they have 🫣

We always have a small sale section on our website which is a mix of genuinely reduced product that still meets our high standards and is a great place to start if you're looking for a bargain. We always give samples and gifts with orders when we can too!

For everyone who drowns out the noise this weekend (or what feels like the whole month) and shops small, we really appreciate you!
