Is there anyone that goes to the loo without their phone?

A recent study recorded that 90% of people bring their phones into the bathroom and let me tell you that this isn’t the best idea, apart from the obvious reason that phones attract germs-being on our phone while 💩 means that we will probably stay longer in the loo than we have to and this can potentially create an unnecessary pressure in the re**um than can cause haemorrhoids or if you have them they can worsen. Not only that, but the awkward and uncomfortable position of sitting on the toilet can exacerbate nerve and hip problems.

All my life I have heard from doctors and even from my father not to stay longer than I have to, but never put that much thought into it.

When we take our phones away, we get stressed, and anxious, and irritable. How long can you be without your phone?

Do people nowadays have trouble being alone with their thoughts!?

The Solution: Make your bathroom a zone of serenity again. But is that even possible when you have IBD??

I’ve been practicing smiling with my eyes. 2020 was terrible, no one can argue that. But honestly, I’m blessed to say 2020 was also pretty incredible:

Be able to work in London with the best team
About to start my prescription course
New hospital
New friends
New relationships
New memories
New vaccine
New goals

2021, I have no idea what you have in store for us. We can’t control what happens around us. But what we can control is how we act and react to that which is out of our control. We got this!

My only wish is for all the nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, cleaners, porters and everyone working against covid to survive the next few months. It’s going to be tiring and we are all going to suffer but it’s in our blood to help others. @ London, United Kingdom

Working the holiday can be a bummer, but so often I feel each of our patients are placed into our lives for a reason. I can think of a friend, family member, stranger, and patient for each tree. Don’t forget to spread love this holiday season and take a moment to be grateful. 💜

I hope you all have a wonderful time. Not everyone has someone with whom to celebrate Christmas or many of you might even be working or far away from your families like me. In any case, this year despite having been difficult, I am still grateful and partly is because of you and this page I decided to open leas than a year ago. I just wanted to say thank you and merry Christmas to all of you. Wish you all the very best. Love you all. 💓
