On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business & Growth and a senior delegation from The Howard de Walden Estate to our Harley Street facilities.

The visit included tours of our 25 and 9 Harley Street clinics, where they met some members of our clinical and operations teams. We showcased our in house services from advanced pathology and minor operations to state of the art diagnostics.

We also discussed the exciting future of services like our Memory Clinic and the strength of our concierge led screening model, which offers a seamless experience for patients.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the visit smooth, informative, and impactful.

Last Thursday, we came together to celebrate the remarkable career and mark the retirement of Mr Angus McIndoe.

Mr McIndoe has been our Medical Director since 2018 and his clinical brilliance, unwavering integrity and dedication to patient care have shaped our standards and culture.

Originally from New Zealand, Mr McIndoe began his medical journey in 1980 before moving to the UK, where he became Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Oncology at Hammersmith Hospital and later Chief of Service for Gynaecology. He has cared for many thousands of patients both in the NHS and privately, delivering his combination of empathic and highly skilled care.

We are grateful for his leadership. Everyone at Phoenix Hospital Group wishes Mr McIndoe all the very best in his well deserved retirement and a sincere thank you for everything he has contributed!

Meet the Consultant Monday: Mr Liam Stapleton

With 20 years of experience, Mr Stapleton brings high levels of expertise in foot and ankle health. He holds a BSc, a PGCert in Sports Medicine and a PGDip in Podiatric Surgery and is a fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Podiatry.

He’s renowned for delivering advanced care, everything from biomechanics and gait analysis for manufacturing custom 3D printed orthoses to injection therapies (corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid and local anaesthesia), shockwave therapy, in consult ultrasound imaging, and minor skin/nail surgeries.

A sought-after speaker, he’s presented at major events like the Foot & Ankle Show 2022 and the London Orthopaedic Meeting 2024 & 2025

He champions a patient-centred, multidisciplinary approach, tailoring treatments to each individual’s needs and goals
