Calling all new mums in London. New Breathe Melodies for Mums free group singing programmes are starting this May, across London 🤍.

Hear from one of our mums, read her experience, and see how singing together can support your emotional wellbeing and remind you you’re not alone.

This is a story about early motherhood - the love, the anxiety, and everything in between.

One of our Breathe Melodies for Mums participants has shared her experience with honesty and vulnerability, reflecting on the challenges she faced and the support she found along the way.

Her story is deeply personal, but so much of it will feel familiar to others navigating those early days, from feeling overwhelmed and isolated, to finding connection, confidence and a sense of belonging through the programme.

New mums, when did you last do something just for you. Not for your baby, not for anyone else. Just. You…

Breathe Melodies for Mums is a free 10-week group singing programme starting this May across London and it might be the most nourishing thing you do all year.

Imagine walking into a warm, welcoming room full of other new mums. No judgement. No pressure. Just voices coming together, learning gorgeous, powerful songs from around the world, harmonies that feel like a breath of fresh air.

This is a nursery rhyme-free zone, and experience is absolutely NOT necessary. Professional singing leads will support you every step of the way, at a pace that's always yours. Held by music, by community, by the simple and extraordinary power of voices singing together.

Week by week, you'll feel the shift, more energised, more confident, more like yourself again. These sessions are all about making YOU feel good. ✨🤍

And as you grow and find your feet, many mums find the music becomes a gentle, beautiful way to connect with their baby too, a toolkit of songs for walks in the park, feeds, bedtime, and all those tender moments (and challenging ones!) in between.

Over 1,000 women have already felt the difference. Backed by ground-breaking research from the Royal College of Music and Imperial College London, this programme has been proven to uplift, energise and restore.

Wherever you are right now, we've got you. 🤍

Free programmes starting May 2026 in Wandsworth, Lambeth and Croydon. Spaces are limited.

Today is .

🤍 A magic trick that provokes two-handed action, builds problem-solving skills, and grows confidence through performance.
🤍 A song that reminds a new mum she’s not alone.
🤍 A space for dads to connect, sing, and be supported.
🤍 A choir that gives NHS staff space to rest, relax and recharge.

This is social prescribing and it’s what we do every single day.

We see every day how creativity can support health in ways that feel human and lasting.

From young people with hemiplegia to new parents and NHS staff, social prescribing has the power to support wellbeing in ways that feel human, meaningful, and lasting.

On , we’re celebrating every person who’s been connected to something creative and everyone who makes that possible.

Thinking of mums everywhere 🤍.

This Mother’s Day we’re celebrating mothers, each navigating their own experiences of motherhood, from the sleepless nights and overwhelming emotions to the identity shifts and quiet resilience it takes to care for a new baby while finding your way.

We’re sharing our latest Breathe Melodies for Mums film, celebrating the mothers who find strength, connection and moments of calm through singing together.

Those early months can feel intense and overwhelming. Singing together offers a moment to slow down, connect with others, and feel held within a supportive group.

🪄 Volunteer as a Magic Trainer

We’re recruiting Magic Trainers for our Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme this summer and are looking for Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists, students or qualified, interested in a rewarding and exciting volunteering opportunity.

This award-winning, evidence-based intervention supports young people with hemiplegia through an intensive bimanual and goal-oriented therapy programme, using specially selected magic tricks that provoke specific two-handed actions, problem-solving and performance skills.

As a Magic Trainer, you’ll work alongside our Joint Clinical Lead Occupational Therapists and Magicians to deliver tailored therapy in a fun, group-based setting, supporting young people with hemiplegia (aged 6–18) as they practise their magic tricks and work on activities of daily living (ADLs) like fastening buttons, tying shoelaces or cutting up food with both hands.

Key Dates:

🪄 Monday 3rd August – Friday 14th August 2026 at Sea Containers London.

🪄 You must be available for the full 10 days, as well as for the group interview and training day listed on our website.

🪄 You’ll gain practical experience supporting young people with various clinical presentations of hemiplegia, learning to assess and adapt activities based on each child’s individual needs.

You’ll also receive:

✅ Pre-camp training – exploring the clinical reasoning, evidence base and programme logistics so you’re fully prepared.
✅ Ongoing mentorship – working closely with the Joint Clinical Leads with opportunities for feedback, learning and skill development.
✅ CPD opportunities – invitation to a CPD session on evidence-based interventions for young people with hemiplegia (worth £200).
✅ Certificate and commendation letter for your CV / CPD portfolio.

This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in something unique, gain paediatric neurology experience, and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people who need it most.
