🔥Lean Protein Options for Vegans🔥

The food exchange system defines lean protein as a 1-ounce serving that has 2 to 3 grams of fat. That’s equal to the total fat in the USDA’s recommendation but with a smaller serving. The goal is to balance your daily consumption to meet American Heart Association recommendations for fat intake. Limit total fat to 25 to 35 percent of daily calories, saturated fat to no more than 7 percent of daily calories and cholesterol to less than 300 milligrams daily.

🔥High Protein Low Carb Foods🔥

No matter what your wellness goals are — weight loss, weight management or weight gain — nutrition is important. In fact, it’s 80 percent of the wellness puzzle
while exercise accounts for about 20 percent. Now, we aren’t saying that you shouldn’t exercise, but when it comes to reaching your goals, the foods you put into your body should be your primary focus.

The best way to lose weight is by focussing on high-protein, low-carb foods. This gives your body the energy it needs and forces you to be more mindful of the high-calorie ingredients you’re adding to your diet, e.g. oatmeal, multigrain bread, bananas, sweet potatoes, rice, legumes. Sure most of those ingredients are healthy, but like most things, they should be enjoyed in moderation.

Don’t worry, I am not saying, “No more bananas and sweet potatoes!” I am also not saying that you should go keto or ultra low-carb. It’s all about being more mindful of the macronutrient balance in your meals and any unnecessary added ingredients (i.e. sugars, artificial flavors, sodium, etc.). HOW MAKE PROGRESS THIS WEEKEND💖

So you think you can’t make progress at the weekends?

Of course you can
You just need keep your act together and work on your memory skills so you don't forget that weekend calories count ALWAYS!
-
Even if you only do 1 thing better than you did last weekend this is 100 percent progress

It doesn’t need to be perfect and it doesn’t need to be anything dramatic.
-
Being stuck in the mindset that everything has to be all or nothing is a minefield and this thinking is rife at the weekend.
-
👉So you had too much cake at home or 2 sugar drimks too many last night.
-
Does this mean that you’ve totally trashed your week completely? NO
-
Does it mean you should say leave it and show no restraint at all for the rest of the weekend?
-
👉NO NO AND NO

You need to ditch this mindset put it behind you and get back in plan.

👉Progress not perfection.👉

In conclusion
-
If all you do this weekend is eat one extra portion of broccoli, grab a couple of hours extra sleep than your usual weekend 4 per night then congratulations you made progress.

If you’re normally a “disorganised Sally” but you spend an hour getting organised for the week ahead then that’s progress.

Here's a guide to help you determine what your calorie intake should be, based on what your fitness goal is.

For example: if Johnny is 200lbs, he should be eating between 2000 to 2400 calories per day. If he decides to bulk, Johnny needs to be eating 3200 to 3600 calories.

Let’s talk about belly fat. We all have it, even people who look like they have abs! Well the reality is you can't really target just one area to reduce fat, but you can reduce fat overall, and some foods help reduce fat more than others! All of these help!

Salmon 🐟 has omega 3's and helps to burn fat and increase your metabolism!

Avocados 🥑 sometimes get a bad rap because they have a lot of fat. Seems counterintuitive if you're trying to reduce fat! But they actually have good fat that helps slow your hunger, promote heart health, and reduce overall fat on your body.

Sweet potatoes 🍠 are considered one of the worlds healthiest foods because they have antioxidants and anti inflammatories that help our digestion and processing of foods.

Bananas 🍌 are rich in potassium and have helped me with bloating. They also are dense and keep me full.

Spinach 🌱 is high in vitamins and nutrients and helps to increase iron as well as fiber!

Beets ❤️ lower blood pressure, are anti-cancer, and boost your energy! Especially great on those workout days.

Again, these foods aren't just going to reduce belly fat, more importantly they will reduce overall fat and they will keep your body healthy, going strong, and help reduce inflammation especially years down the road! And that's so much more important than just focusing on the belly fat right? It's all about being your best self and loving your body enough to nourish it with the right foods!
