Dynamics of Presence – From The Heart

Returning to this series feels like returning to my creative centre. Last month in St Lucia I stepped back into the practice I began in 2008, entering quiet presence in nature and letting the deeper currents of life express themselves through the lens on the warm sea breeze. 🌿✨

This new set of twelve images comes from a place of meditation, patience, and deep listening. A reminder that our creativity is never lost, it only waits for our attention. California Work Travel Diary 🇺🇸☀️

Landing in Potrero Hill felt like a homecoming — welcomed by my beloved Guncles into their warm and art-filled nest. Breakfast at Plow the next morning: still my all-time favourite (go hungry).

Then, south to Esalen, where the mists, hot tubs, and ocean soundtrack held me through a deep creative dive into my children’s spiritual fairytale — the next chapter of Lightseeker is truly on its way.

Also on this trip:
 ✨ Inner work on safety and boundaries ☕ Gently titrating off coffee (losing the buzz, regaining my natural rhythm) 💃🏼 Dancing the 5Rhythms with the magical and Douglas Drummond — wisdom keepers leading us with grace, groove and spiritual mastery 🎶 Soundtracked by the magic of  🐋 Whale spouts, dolphins, sea otters… wild beauty at every turn 💧And a personal ceremony: my anointment as Celebrant in the Esalen tradition, holding the three sacred waters — fresh, salt, and mineral — and stepping more fully into the sacred aspects of my work

Friendship, freedom, and the felt sense of transformation.

Back to where it all began...🌳

On my way to deliver a client coaching session today in Gray’s Inn - the very place I trained as a Barrister now over two decades ago! 🦸🏻‍♂️

It’s a fun full-circle moment. The courtroom may be behind me, but the path ahead is full of alignment purpose and heart. ❤️

Today I support leaders not in winning battles, but in cultivating clarity, calm, purpose, and presence. ✨

✨ On 17th May 2025, I married the love of my life .p.newman at the very top of the Gherkin in London.

We wrote the ceremony ourselves, shaped it around our values, and asked a dear friend to deliver it with presence and grace. It was spiritual but not religious. Personal, meaningful, and full of joy.

The experience opened something new in me.

A few days before the wedding, my teacher of 18 years quietly shared that I might be stepping into a new kind of work – holding sacred space for others.

And so, from this moment of union, something new begins…

🌿 I’m now offering bespoke Conscious Wedding Ceremonies for couples who want a mindful, heartfelt ceremony rooted in love, presence and intention that feels spiritual but not religious.

Last week in Phoenix, Kylie reminded me what effortless artistic excellence looks like.

Four decades in, she has never sounded better!

From my first Soap addiction (Neighbours - Charlene) through my gay disco years and now towards married life, Kylie’s music has been a constant thread - a reminder of the power of creativity, connection, and love.

Watching Jack’s face light up as she sang his favs is a moment I will never forget. 🥰
