I said what I said…

Often people look for supplements to address a particular symptom - this is similar to the medical model, where you go to your doctor and you’re prescribed a medication for symptom relief. Supplements are a support for the body to get to where you want to be but what manages your health long term is your behaviour, environment and how you manage your stress.

In order to support long term symptom relief, you need to change what has been leading up to this. It’s time to put your lifestyle under the microscope - are you ready to do that? 🕵🏻‍♀️

Low energy? High stress? Theoretically know you can make changes but actually knowing how and doing it is a bit much right now?

Join me next week - from August 5th I’m running a 3 part workshop series. Only 30 minutes each (most of us can stick around for 30 minutes right?) - part of that time will be knowing HOW to implement the changes in your own life straight away.

It’s in beta mode so it’s an incredibly enticing offer ✨

Send me a DM for the link to sign up 💌

One is the loneliest number…

Especially when you’re trying to make and sustain healthy changes.

I know making change is difficult - do you know how many times I had to give up smoking? Or how many times I took a break from drinking? Answers to these questions on a postcard please.

My new online workshop series isn’t quite targeted at those particular habits, this is more about going back to basics and getting the foundations in place, because you can’t bio-hack before you’ve got the basic nailed:

✨Building meals for better energy
✨Cancelling cravings
✨Maximising relaxation

I’m putting together a small group so that we’ve got support, accountability and some great vibes going on. We’re starting on August 5th - DM for more info ✨💜

Last week - London Premiere of Below The Belt

This is a really powerful documentary about the lived experience of endometriosis. The evening was beautiful - in Borough Yards is gorgeous, I was served an absolutely delightful booze free ginger drink and I got to hang out with not in gym gear 🙌🏻

What I found was that I was still processing emotions that came up for me from seeing this films DAYS later. Although a lot of people know I have an endometriosis diagnosis, I don’t talk about my personal experiences with the people who know me really well very often. Sure, I’ll pepper some anecdotes in a talk - the time I fainted in the bathroom at the dentist, being incapacitated at a bus stop in Clerkenwell, throwing up from pain on a flight and the air hostess recommending a hysterectomy, but these are moments in time I haven’t engaged with in years.

If anyone is struggling with symptoms that are getting in the way of everyday life - it isn’t normal - don’t let anyone (medical or otherwise) tell you any different. Find someone who will help you advocate. I know it can feel SO isolating but you’re not alone 💜

Allow me to (re)introduce myself, my name is Marjolein (Mar-yoh-Leyne).

I’ve been supporting women to take back control of their health for the past 4ish years. Together, we address their hormonal health conditions by using comprehensive lab testing and designing bespoke nutrition, lifestyle and supplements plans to improve symptoms and get back to thriving in life.

I absolutely LOVE what I do and I’m driven to help women feel less alone throughout their journey to feeling well. It can feel like an absolute minefield when you’re hoping for a diagnosis or maybe you have one but you don’t know what to do now. Everyone has an opinion on what you should do about your health but how do you know who to listen to or where to start?

I’m here through my own experience, first of all, navigating burnout in my mid-twenties - having no clue what was driving my symptoms of fatigue, lack of motivation and depression. Then while I was retraining as a nutritionist/ nutritional therapist - I realised that the crippling pain, vomiting and fainting that I experienced around the time of my period was NOT ‘just part of being a woman’ and upping the ibuprofen wasn’t going to cut it as a solution. I’ve got that lived experience of symptoms being swept under the rug as insignificant and unimportant. I finally got a diagnosis of endometriosis when I was 30 (14 years after I first started experiencing symptoms).

I now support women across several countries, also excited to say that I’ve been able to start in-person consultations again this year, which feels AMAZING - after 2 years exclusively on Zoom.

Thank you so much for stopping by the page - feel free to send me a message with any questions.

Sending healthy and hormonious vibes,

Marjolein 💜

Let’s talk about stress babyyyyy

That’s right - I’m jumping on the stress awareness wagon. I think it’s fair to say that a lot of people think I got into nutrition because of my experience of living with endometriosis - I can see how you’d get to that conclusion. What ACTUALLY happened is that I burnt out in my twenties (with no clue that that’s what was going on).

I’ve written a post on why we need to address burnout properly in order for us to avoid it becoming an Achilles heel - check out the link in my bio 👆🏻

Join me on Monday when I’ll be chatting with Esme from .

I always like to draw attention to some of my favourite female founded brands around International Women’s Day and tomorrow we’ll be going into the story behind Therapi, the benefits of opting for natural and organic skincare and the environmental mission and values that are core to Therapi.

As my clients know - this is one of my FAVOURITE skincare brands to recommend so I’m really excited to showcase why.

Come and join us here on Instagram tomorrow at 3pm (GMT) and also feel free to DM any questions you’d like to see answered.
