This Movember, we’re shining a light on men’s health and the importance of not delaying treatment.

Roger Monk, aged 80, shares how Aquablation therapy at Ashtead Hospital transformed his life. After struggling with low energy and frequent night-time trips to the bathroom, Roger discovered he was suffering from urine retention caused by an enlarged prostate.

Thanks to the expertise of his consultant and the support of our caring hospital team, Roger underwent Aquablation Therapy, a minimally invasive, robotic-assisted procedure. Today, he’s back to enjoying swimming, cycling, and gardening with renewed energy.

We're proud to continue our alliance with University of Nottingham School of Medicine building on the success of our Ramsay Medical Student Bursary.

Through the bursary, final-year medical students from Nottingham have been able to undertake life-changing overseas electives in Australia. They gain financial support and hands-on experience helping them transition from medical school into their first roles in the NHS.

We're delighted to extend this for 2026 and hope to roll out the initiative to more of our hospitals across the UK. Following a recent visit to the medical centre in Nottingham, Sabine Akhtar, Medical Director at Ramsay Health Care UK, reflected:
