If you are a Merton resident, your year 8 child’s HPV vaccination is now due. Along with this vaccine, your child can receive the MMR vaccine if they are missing one of both doses.

Cervical Screening invites are changing.

Please be aware that from 1st July, most women and people with a cervix aged 25-49 who test HPV negative will be invited every 5 years, instead of 3.

HPV is the cause of most cervical cancers. If HPV isn't found during your screening, the risk of developing cancer is low, so screening can be safely done every 5 years.

This means oral contraception can be initiated and a continued supply can be offered to patients that have had an oral contraceptive initiated by their GP or sexual health clinic.

Wallington Community Wellbeing Charity are hosting a Health and Wellbeing Information and Advice event on Friday 2nd May from 11am-3pm at Holy Trinity Centre, Maldon Road, Wallington, SM6 8BL.

This is a free event for all that offers activities and talks, Taster sessions including: Tai Chi, Hand Drumming and Singing.

There will also be 45+ stalls offering advice and information on a range of different topics.
