Clapham High Street. I’m back! 🏳️‍🌈

I’m so excited to announce the second of my three therapy clinics is based right in the heart of a quiet little leafy village you might have heard of…CLAPHAM. 🎉🥳

I’m so pleased to be back here. I’ve always been drawn to Clapham since I moved from Scotland at the age of 18, and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️

Over the years I’ve worked here, lived here, loved here – and had some sad times here too.

It’s also where I first met someone who would turn out to be one of my biggest influences and one of my closest friends and confidants - the late, great

He was a big advocate for psychotherapy and spoke openly about seeing a therapist in his show:
“He’s called Martin, and I believe everyone needs a Martin.”

Oh, how I wish you were still here to see this, dear – this one is for you. ❤️

Clapham holds so many memories for me, and it only felt right to come back to where it all started. 🙌

Your thoughts are yours to change!

And that’s one of the most freeing truths you’ll ever learn.

Every thought sends a signal through your body.

Negative thoughts flood you with stress chemicals that keep you on edge.

Positive, calm thoughts tell your nervous system: you’re safe.

One thought I’ve been practising on repeat is:

“I am safe.”

It sounds simple, but it shifts everything for me.

When I catch myself spiralling -worrying, replaying old fears - I pause, take a breath, and remind myself: I am safe.

My shoulders drop. My mind softens. My body hears me.

This is what I help my clients do too - break old thought loops, and choose better ones that feel true and calm the whole system.

Your mind believes what you tell it - so tell it something good today.

Cortisol wakes you up, keeps you sharp, gets you moving. It’s good, in small doses.

But modern life cranks it up *constantly*.

And when cortisol stays too high, you feel it everywhere.

Signs you’re running on stress fuel:

😴 Problems sleeping
