*common 10 mistakes to avoid*

1) Don’t use *MEDICAL* terms

2) Don’t *REPEAT* questions that patients have already answered

3) Don’t *RUSH* , even you’re running out of time
( die inside , smile outside)

4) *LOOK* *AROUND* properly for
• Manikins ( might be covered with a sheet) OR
• If a *patient* is wearing gown, breast manikin
• Any *instrument* in room
(These are *COMBINED* stations, so manage your time wisely)

5) Verbalise *RELATIVE* / *SPECIAL*/ *PARTICULAR* *examination* or *tests* (if there’s any) for the diagnosis
Otherwise they might not give you the findings

6) Do not forget to write *GMC NUMBER* on *prescription* chart
& Fill in the details/ paste sticker wherever asked.

7) Don’t try to *INVOLVE EXAMINER* in Procedures
( They don’t reply mostly)

😎 *GREETING* the examiner does not make any difference. So *save* your *Time* and start consultation with the patient.
( you can say out loud your *GMC #* & *Name*)

9) *DO NOT* *SIT* if patient is *standing* or *Lying* in the couch.

10) *DO NOT GIVE UP TILL END*
( *CONSISTENCY* is the *KEY* to success in PLAB 2/UKMLA)

*GOOD LUCK* *EVERYONE* 👍🏻
