This week is European Testing Week (ETW)!

The ultimate goal of ETW is to make testing more accessible and communicate the benefits of earlier testing for hepatitis, HIV, and STIs.

At CGL Camden we offer quick & simple tests for hepatitis C. Your key worker can set this up for you.

Peer mentor Stella co-hosts the Young Persons group on Thursdays at CGL Camden.

This week we learnt about Karpman's Drama Triangle, which is made up of 3 roles.

The victim, the rescuer, and the perpetrator.

When we get stuck in these roles, dramas keep on coming. Letting the narratives around these roles go can help us to live with more clarity, openness and honesty.
Our communication will become more loving to ourselves and to others as well as being clearer. Our relationships will then benefit.

Thank you Stella! ☺️ see you next week💫

Alicia and CGL Camden's Emma McFeeley graced the yellow carpet at the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2025 😀

Alicia's film "Distraction Pack" highlights the lack of awareness of neurodiverse conditions amongst the police and criminal justice system.

Following the docudrama, posters alerting the public to obtaining autism alert cards are being put up outside police stations in Camden.

This week marks Neurodiversity Celebration Week. We are working with the Met Police’s DC Daley Jones to highlight the lack of awareness of neurodiversity within the criminal justice system.

"Evidence shows that ADHD is linked to an increase in early age criminality and a higher risk of aggressive incidents compared to prisoners without ADHD."

DC Daley Jones is the Co-Chair/ Founder of the ADHD Alliance Support Group and at Friday’s event he shared how he is making police custody a more neuroinclusive experience.

At the event we screened the Smiley Film Awards 2025 finalist docudrama “Distraction Pack”, which explores the intersection of neurodiversity within the police force. Film creator Alicia then hosted a lively discussion around the lived experience of neurodiverse conditions including autism and ADHD.

Alaister shared how being identified as neurodivergent allowed him to get the support he needed as he navigated the criminal justice system.
