As daylight hours shorten and temperatures drop, it’s natural for our mood and energy levels to dip, sometimes leading to social withdrawal and loneliness.
But even small moments of connection, like sharing a cup of tea and a chat, can make a big difference to our mental and physical wellbeing.
At Right at Home Harrow: Pinner, Ruislip & Northwood, we offer minimum one-hour visits with regular Carers, so our Clients are never far from a familiar, friendly face. Whether it’s help with daily tasks, a trip to a local group, or support with reviving old hobbies, they’re always on hand to brighten the day.
As the colder months set in, staying safe, warm and well becomes even more important, especially for older adults.
With our expert homecare services, you and your loved ones can enjoy peace of mind, knowing that support is just a phone call away.
From preparing nourishing meals and ensuring homes stay warm, to sharing a friendly chat over a cuppa and encouraging gentle exercise, our Carers are dedicated to helping our Clients stay comfortable, active and connected.
Because living well doesn’t stop when the temperature drops.
It’s a common question many families ask, and our answer is simple: anyone requiring support to continue living life on their terms, surrounded by familiar comforts and connected to their communities.
Whether we’re a constant presence, or a quiet reassurance, we’re here to make life easier, fuller, and more joyful - for every Client, every day.
Right at Home Harrow are proud to share that we received a Gold Level Circle of Trust Award! We were awarded this thanks to our good scores Homecare.co.uk, Workbuzz and Lumis. We're extremely grateful for our team of amazing carers who have helped us achieve this award.❤️

A wonderful review from Greg.
At Right at Home, our professional and personalised care services make the transition back home from hospital as relaxed and worry-free as possible. We are beyond proud to have supported Greg’s mum to get back on her feet and enjoy her independence once more.
“Right at Home provided care for our 80-year-old mother for three months while she recovered from an operation on her ankle. We were initially concerned about how our Mum would cope following her surgery as she was effectively housebound. However, the quality of care delivered by Right at Home has been more than we could have ever hoped for.
“The carers were all, without exception, wonderful, and treated Mum with kindness, warmth and respect. Mum is now back on her feet, and we are extremely grateful to the team at Right at Home for making difficult period of convalescence infinitely more manageable.”

Our Clients receive their care the way they want, at a time when they want to have it delivered. They are involved in all decision-making, including agreement of their personalised care plan.
We know that emotional and moral support for our Clients and their family can be just as important as our specialist care knowledge, so it is ingrained in the support we provide and we always keep in close contact with concerned family and friends.
We also understand that good day-to-day communication is vital to give families and loved ones peace of mind, which is why all daily records and communication sheets are kept accessible in the Clients’ home and any concerns can be easily addressed through a call to the office.
Our CareGivers want more than a job. They want to make a difference in the lives of those in their care.
To ensure only the best CareGivers join us, we have a rigorous selection process in place that includes personal interviews, competency testing, psychometric testing, reference checks and background clearance.
We also ask ourselves a simple question – would I trust the CareGiver to look after my own mother in her home? We only recruit if the answer is a definite ‘YES’.
Once a CareGiver meets our strict criteria, it’s just the beginning. Each goes through a training and orientation process that guides them through our Right at Home values and standards, going above and beyond the national legal requirements. They are given training on issues that help them develop as better overall CareGivers, as well as training on dealing with very specific situations they may come across in their role.
