We’re delighted to share that Madeira House Care Home has received a ‘Good’ CQC rating, with the report recognising the positive impact of strong leadership and a caring, dedicated team.

The feedback truly reflects the heart of the home, with residents and families sharing that they feel safe, well cared for, and supported by kind, respectful staff who take the time to understand individual needs. International Food Day at Advinia

Today we celebrated the incredible diversity that makes Advinia such a special place to work. Colleagues came together to share dishes from their homelands, each one bringing flavours, traditions and stories they’re proud of.

From dhokla, parmigiana, sabudhana, krokiety and baklava to banoffee pie and rice pudding, our table was full of delicious food, and our hearts were full of connection.

Moments like these remind us that food has a unique way of bringing people together, strengthening our sense of community and celebrating the cultures that shape who we are.

Heroes of Happiness: Celebrating the People Who Make Advinia Shine!

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate three inspiring Heroes of Happiness this week who go above and beyond to bring joy, positivity, and support to residents and colleagues across Advinia:

Neshie Alamo, Home Manager at Maycroft - affectionately known as the “Singing Manager”, whose infectious energy, kindness, and joyful leadership create a truly happy home for residents and teams alike.

Pauline Lewis, our first Heroes of Happiness winner from the Resident Safety Managers in Scotland, recognised for her unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment to keeping resident safety at the heart of everything she does.

Stephen McClean, whose dedication and creativity have transformed gardens across our Scottish homes, creating welcoming, vibrant outdoor spaces that residents can genuinely enjoy and take pride in.

Each of these individuals embodies what Heroes of Happiness is all about: making a meaningful difference through everyday actions, compassion, and passion for what they do.
