Struggling with restless nights, anxiety, or unsettling dreams?
Here’s something simple you can use straight away.
As you lie down, take a slow breath and exhale with a low, steady hum… like “mmmm” or “ummm”.
This helps stimulate the vagus nerve, calming your nervous system and allowing your body to settle.
If you wake from a bad dream, try this.
Don’t analyse it.
Instead, imagine the dream being shredded, torn apart, or cleared away completely.
Then say firmly in your mind:
“This dream is over. It has no substance.”
These practices come from Shingon Buddhist methods and are designed to reset your system, clear emotional residue, and support deeper, more settled sleep.
If you try it, let me know how you get on.
