Last year, we had an idea: what if Black Friday could be different?

In 2024 you helped us prove it could be. 500 empty boxes. Thousands of donations. A movement that showed the power of giving back.

This year, creators sent back their excess which became the Thrift It Back Market. Through your donations, your support at the market, and your belief in this mission, we raised £15,000 for Greenhouse Sports to provide coaching, mentorship and opportunities for young people who need it most.

To everyone who donated, ran, shopped, shared, or believed in this, thank you. This campaign and the community proved that Black Friday can be about giving back, not just consuming more.

This weekend we hosted our first Thrift It Back Market and the response was incredible.

Creators sent in their excess.
The community showed up.
And together, we raised funds for that have now been doubled and donated.

Yesterday we hosted our first Thrift It Back Market.

What started as a simple idea turned into something powerful. Creators and brands from all over the country sent in their excess gifting and stock, and our community showed up to help us raise money for .

To everyone who ran with us, shopped, donated or supported from afar, thank you.

And to the brands who backed the campaign, this is proof that we can push the industry forward when we choose to.

The funds raised has now been doubled and donated, giving young people access to sport, coaching and mentorship where it’s needed most.

This Saturday, we’re turning the Hackney Clubhouse into the Thrift it Back Market.

We’re kicking things off with a social 5km at 9am and would love to see some of you there! It’s our last big event run of 2025 (the usual Hackney Saturdays will still carry on as normal).

After the run, the Clubhouse opens up and you can check out everything that’s been donated back by creators… and a few brands who’ve secretly added to the pile.

We’ve also put together mystery boxes, you pay a set price, pick one at random, and inside could be anything!

Plus: coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, pizza, and a proper good Gift it Back vibe to round off the year.

Would be great to see you all down there, run, shop, hang out and support a good cause.
