Common sense is finally 💪🏼coming back with the newly released USDA food pyramid.
For decades, ultra-processed foods 🍔🍟were promoted as “healthy” 🙄and normalised in nutrition guidelines, despite being loaded with refined sugars, preservatives, refined flours and artificial colors.
Foods with little real 😡nutritional value sold as science, while chronic disease rates continued to rise.
This didn’t happen by accident.
The food lobby 😳is powerful and its influence has shaped public health 😵💫messaging for years.
But this time, the message coming from our health institutions is 😉 different and long overdue.
The new food ✅ pyramid puts the focus back where it belongs: natural and real whole foods.
❌ Not products. Not labels. Not marketing.
A return to basics.
A return to truth.
A return to common sense.
