Finally I managed to get to my diving destination. .divingsafari didn’t disappoint!

I wonder how many OTs scuba dive?
Do any European colleagues fancy a diving retreat in 2026.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Life has been busy. But it has been good!

Recently I made the most of the UK sunshine and mild temperatures for an ice-cream and a stroll. Lime flavoured ice-cream syrup 😍 my new favourite!

What have you done to fulfil your quota of awe recently and replenish your energy and enthusiasm 😉

I’m feeling very grateful for the opportunity to attend and to be part of important conversations about service improvement. 🙏💬

I’m also thankful for the diversity of my work landscape 🌟—spanning both independent and statutory healthcare sectors 🏥✨—which brings unique perspectives and ideas to service improvement projects.

2025 is shaping up to be an interesting year! 🚀 I’m looking forward to contributing to quality improvement projects and supporting research in meaningful ways. 📊🔬

Two more days to go… Exciting! 🤩
And already inspired!

And fortunate to be back to relive memories of my MBA graduation many years ago! 😌

Learning truly is an adventure, a joy, and thankfully, a life-long process! 🌟📚

Finding Peace in the Night

🌙 Walking to the end of the garden, getting out the front door—these may be short-term goals for many. But for me, they open the door to something even more special: a peaceful evening walk under the moonlight.

🌌 It’s not just about movement; it’s about finding tranquility in the little things.

🌿 What brings you peace at the end of the day?
Where will your mobility goals take you?

Savoring the Moment Between Commitments

☕ Sometimes, progress means enjoying the little breaks between the big moments.

🌊 A coffee by the sea during a busy day of meetings reminds me of why I set those goals in the first place.

🌺 It’s not just about getting from A to B—it’s about taking a moment to breathe, to savor, to enjoy.

🌞 What moments do you cherish in your daily routine? 🌼

A Treat with a Purpose

🍽️ Preparing a simple meal or making a drink—these everyday tasks can seem small, but they build up to something greater.

🌱 For me, being able to whip up a snack is about more than just cooking. It’s about the joy of preparing for a gathering, a business meeting, or a friendly visit.

👫 It’s about creating connections through the act of sharing.

What meaningful tasks make you feel accomplished? 🎂

Savoring Joy Through Small Steps

🍰 Occupational therapy isn’t just about the small steps—it’s about the big dreams that those steps help us achieve.

🌟 Whether it’s regaining the ability to stand up from a chair or making a cup of tea, these goals are just the beginning.

For me, being able to move freely means enjoying a meal out and sampling delicious cake—a simple pleasure that brings me joy. 💛

What does freedom look like to you? 🌸

There is an immense relief at completing tasks that have been stagnant for a while due to reduced resources. Time, energy, motivation—whatever the challenge, it can feel overwhelming. But when these tasks finally become doable, even with help, it brings instant relief and a sense of pride.

I was able to engage in some much-needed self-care and relaxation because the right resources aligned to complete essential tasks. A day on the coast in sunshine is always lovely!

Finding balance between responsibilities and self-care is key to maintaining well-being. Each step, no matter how small, is a step forward. Be proud of your journey.🌊💙

🍰 Home Baking – Food for the Soul 🍰

In occupational therapy, we understand that well-being is shaped by the interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors. Home baking, like crafting a gluten-free yogurt blueberry cake, offers more than just a delicious treat—it’s an opportunity to slow down, connect with the present, and engage your senses in a way that grounds and calms you. It also provides opportunities to practice physical and cognitive skills.

Activities like baking aren’t just hobbies; they’re powerful forms of self-care that nurture mental health and overall well-being. By immersing yourself in the creative process, you can challenge yourself, and enjoy a therapeutic break in your day.

😍 So today, savour the joy of creating with your hands. Who knows? You might just whip up something spectacular. 😍
