Adam Sandler shared that the most heartbreaking part of making Happy Gilmore 2 was losing Carl Weathers, who was set to return as Chubbs.
“We were excited… and then Carl passed away. We had to rewrite a lot of the story,” Sandler said. “We made sure to honor how great Chubbs was in the movie.”
