The PHA is aware of the meningitis outbreak recently reported in South East England. The UKHSA is leading the response to the outbreak and there is no increased risk to the population in Northern Ireland. However, it is important for everyone to be aware of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and the steps to take if they are concerned. For info see www.pha.site/MeningitisKent

Derry Well Women in partnership with Queens University Belfast are hosting an event to “Explore an Integrated Menopause Hub” on Thursday 26th March at the Everglades, Derry.

At this event, we will have facilitated discussions on your journey as a woman going through menopause in your local area. We will talk about what services are available, whether there are gaps in care and together we will co-design an Integrated Menopause Hub for the Western Trust area that would work for you.

If you are pre-menopausal, perimenopausal, post-menopausal, experienced medically induced menopause or simply have an interest in menopause, please come along.

To register, you can scan the QR code on the invite or click here.

As part of our ongoing support to carers, Martin McDaid has very kindly agreed to deliver an information session on Residential Care Home Costs.
For a lot of us, this is a topic that we may want to avoid, but as the old adage goes, "to be forewarned is to be forearmed".
For further information, contact Eilish on 02871 373870 or eilish@olt.ie
