Case Study: Ongoing Treatment of Plantar Verrucae with Verrutop

Patient Presentation
A patient presented with multiple, well-established plantar verrucae located on the ball of the foot. The primary lesion was significant in size, showing characteristic hyperkeratosis (thickened skin) and disruption of the natural ridge patterns of the foot, causing discomfort during weight-bearing activities.

Treatment Protocol
The clinical decision was made to utilize Verrutop, a topical solution based on Nitrizinc Complex. The treatment plan consisted of:

- Frequency: Application once every 2 weeks.
- Duration: Total treatment length 2 months
- Procedure: Debridement of the overlying callus was performed prior to each application to ensure maximum pe*******on of the solution.

Progress and Observations

- Initial Phase: After the first applications, the lesions began to mummify and darken, a standard indication that the Nitrizinc Complex was successfully dehydrating the viral tissue.
- Mid-Treatment: A reduction in the diameter and thickness of the warts was noted, with the patient reporting a decrease in localized pain.
- Completion: By the 2-month mark, the viral tissue had been almost completely eradicated.

Results (Before vs. After)

- Before: The "Before" image displays large, rough-textured clusters of verrucae with clear skin-line disruption.
- After: The "After" image shows a significant clinical clearance.

Conclusion
This case demonstrates the efficacy of Verrutop as a minimally invasive and highly effective option for persistent plantar warts. Within a 8-week period, the patient achieved almost complete resolution with excellent cosmetic and functional outcomes. Treatment is still ongoing and we are excepting for the complete absence of HPV within a 3-month mark.
