Key Benefits for Joint & Muscle Aches:

Reduced Inflammation: It diminishes inflammation in conditions like arthritis, tendinitis, and muscle strains.
Pain Relief: Studies show it can reduce joint stiffness and pain. One analysis found up to a 70% reduction in pain for rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Faster Recovery: It lowers muscle-damaging enzymes after workouts, reducing muscle soreness.
Improved Mobility: It promotes tissue repair and increases joint function.
How It Works:

Wavelengths: Near-infrared light (810nm-850nm) penetrates deeper to target joint and muscle pain, while red light (630nm-660nm) acts on surface-level inflammation.

Mechanism: It increases cellular metabolism and promotes blood flow, which helps decrease oxidative stress and repair tissues.

On this video two patients.
40yo male who went through a meniscus operation in one leg and other knee also suffered torn ligaments.
His therapy focused on massage as he never had one on his legs, knee joint and ankle joint mobilisation techniques followed by electro acupuncture and tapping. Next we are booked for Shockwave therapy.

Second patient is a lady in her 70s who plays sports all her life and suffers knee arthritis. Starting treatments with me taking dogs out for a walk or cleaning her house was difficult and painful now she’s back to play Bowls competitively and enjoys active days out.

Patient’s Guide to TECAR Therapy

TECAR (Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive) therapy post-surgery uses high-frequency currents to stimulate deep tissue healing, significantly reducing pain, inflammation, and swelling, which accelerates recovery and improves mobility faster than many traditional methods by boosting blood flow and cellular metabolism. It’s a non-invasive, painless treatment that prepares tissues for manual therapy, helping to restore function and allow an earlier return to activities by activating the body’s natural regeneration processes.

Here are the general guidelines for using TECAR (Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive) therapy post-surgery:

Early Phase (Acute Phase): It is safe to use 3–5 days post-op (or after 72 hours) to accelerate healing and reduce edema, often as part of lymphatic drainage.

Scar Treatment: Direct application to a surgical scar is generally safe once the wound has completely closed and there are no signs of infection, which is typically 4–6 weeks post-surgery.

Safety Note: While safe for many procedures, TECAR should generally not be used over internal metal implants (like some prostheses).

Benefits of Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage:

Reduces Swelling: One of the primary benefits of Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage is its ability to reduce swelling and edema. By improving lymphatic circulation, excess fluid trapped in the tissues is effectively drained, alleviating discomfort and promoting a slimmer, more contoured appearance.

Detoxification: Our bodies are constantly exposed to toxins from various sources such as pollution, processed foods, and stress. Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage aids in detoxification by enhancing the lymphatic system’s ability to eliminate metabolic waste products and toxins. This can lead to improved overall health and increased vitality.

Cellulite Reduction: Cellulite is a common concern for many individuals, especially women. Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage can help reduce the appearance of cellulite by improving blood and lymphatic circulation, breaking down fat deposits, and promoting the elimination of toxins. This can result in smoother, firmer-looking skin.

What is Pressotherapy? Pressotherapy is a form of mechanical massage. It helps to stimulate the body’s lymphatic system, boosting circulation and removing toxins. When it’s functioning optimally, the lymphatic system transports lymph, a fluid that contains white blood cells to help fight infection. Possible benefits of pressotherapy include:

relaxed muscles and fewer aches
reduction in the appearance of cellulite
reduction of swelling and stiffness in the limbs
removal of toxins, toned and firm skin
