A new Women's Wellbeing Peer Support Group has started in Craven Arms. 'Thrive Together' is funded by South West Shropshire Primary Care Network and is FREE to attend. Just drop in - no need to book.

STARTING THIS WEEK - Friday 19th September

A new Women's Wellbeing Peer Support Group - Thrive Together - funded by Southwest Shropshire Primary Care Network, starts on FRIDAY at the Home Instead Community Hub in Craven Arms.

The sessions are FREE, and no booking is required. Refreshments will be provided.

The first session will welcome women into the space and introduce them to what the group sets out to offer. Future sessions will have speakers offering information around subjects affecting women's wellbeing, such as:

Infant feeding support
Women's early cancer detection
Menopause awareness
Nutrition
Making sense of breast screening
Continence awareness

Speakers will offer short talks and then remain throughout the session so that women have the option to have more 1:1 conversation about anything that has been discussed.

Would you like to learn more about Menopause and Perimenopause? Our next (and final!) information session is on Wednesday 10 September at the Mayfair Community Centre - Church Stretton

The event covers the wide range of symptoms of menopause and perimenopause, the risks and benefits of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), lifestyle changes to improve your symptoms and resources which provide support for people in this phase of life. It also includes a recorded Q&A session with Dr Deborah Shepherd and a free gentle yoga taster session.

The Inclusion Hub is now open at the Former Barclays Bank, Corvedale Road, Craven Arms SY7 9ND.

They provide a safe space for Neurodiverse / Hidden Difference families to drop in, meet others, have a chat or get some support or advice from the team.

The sessions will continue into the Autumn term so that we can provide some continuity and a social post-school session.

All welcome, activities for the children, cake for all!

The monthly singing group at Ludlow Assembly Rooms is back again on Tuesday 26th August. Come along to Oscars at Ludlow Assembly Rooms ready for a 2pm start.

This is not a choir! Although primarily aimed at helping those dealing with memory loss issues, everyone is welcome and the joy of having a cuppa and singing a bit of Beatles, Elvis, Billy Joel, songs from the musicals and a few other favourites is wonderful to share.

The group is gaining regular members who really enjoy the hour together to have a quick chat and a sing.
