🌿 Deep Healing & The Fawn Response 🌿
The past few weeks have taken me deep into the roots of my inner world — unearthing old wounds of abandonment, grief, disappointment, and regret. These aren’t easy places to visit, but I’ve learned that true healing requires us to be brave enough to go there.
One of the most powerful realisations I’ve had is how much I’ve lived in the trauma response of fawning — the instinct to please, to overextend, to accommodate others at the cost of my own wellbeing. I thought this was how I showed love. But I’ve come to understand it was how I kept myself safe.
🌸 I’m learning now how to replace fawning with truthful compassion — how to honour my needs without guilt, and love others without abandoning myself.
It’s not easy. Healing never is. But it's possible — and it’s beautiful.
If you’re also learning to say “no,” to listen to your inner wisdom, to hold boundaries without fear… you are not alone.
This path of Rahanni — of unconditional love and higher healing — continues to hold me as I unlearn, relearn, and remember who I truly am.
With love and light,
Aimi 💫
With thanks and gratitude to Wild Awakening Retreats with Charli Wall for introducing me to the fawning response and how this has played out through my relationships. 🩷
