🏉 Rugby spirit meets community spirit at Richmond Manor! 🏉

Our sports-loving residents were thrilled to welcome the Ampthill Womens Rugby Team to Richmond Manor Care Home as they collected their brand-new team shirts.

The shirts – sponsored by our home – will be proudly worn at the Cheltenham Festival, and we couldn’t be prouder to support such a dedicated and inspiring local team.

A special moment for 95-year-old resident Colleen Cockerill, whose stepdaughter, Sally Cockerill, once played for England as a blindside flanker – proving that the love of rugby truly runs in the family.

We wish them the best of luck for the season ahead – we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💛💜

From summer fetes and scenic boat trips to animal cuddles and circus fun – our Hamberley homes have been making memories all week long! 💙

🌿 Abbots Wood Manor – A favourite outing to Staverton Nursery with a garden stroll and delicious Afternoon Tea.

☀️ Cambridge Grove – Sunshine and smiles at their Summer Fete, raising funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

🌸 Charrington Manor – Residents enjoying the gorgeous weather in our beautiful garden space

🎶 Lovell Place – Punch & Judy, live music, BBQ, ice cream cones, and classic fete stalls at their summer party.

☕🍰 Meryton Place – Countryside views at Chew Valley Lake, with coffee, cream teas, and cakes.

🐐 Montague House – Cuddles with goats, bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens, and sheep from Ark Farm.

🌳 Richmond Manor – Sunny day exploring The Forest Centre & Millennium Country Park.

A Warm Charrington Manor Care Home Welcome for Woking MP 💙

We were delighted to welcome Woking MP Will Forster to Charrington Manor in West Byfleet, where he joined residents for an afternoon of fun and conversation as part of our vibrant care home community.

Mr Forster received a VIP tour of our luxury facilities from Home Manager Simona Varga-Pali, before meeting residents who proudly shared just how active and fulfilling life is at Charrington Manor — all without needing to leave the comfort of their beautiful home.

🌸 Hamberley Weekly Round-Up 🌸

It’s been another joyful week across our Hamberley Care Homes, filled with creativity, celebrations, and special moments 💖

🌼 Alston House residents enjoyed a relaxing and mindful flower arranging session – a lovely way to brighten the day.

🌻Hindhead Place also got creative with flower arranging, filling the home with colour and calm.

🪴 Cofton Park Manor residents took a lovely trip to Bromsgrove Garden Centre – a perfect outing for nature lovers!

🌷 Lovell Place hosted a blooming beautiful event with April’s Flower Patch, where guests made floral keepsakes with pressed flowers and poetry – full of laughter and creativity.

🎉 Meryton Place celebrated an incredible milestone as lovely resident Peggy turned 101 surrounded by her family – happy birthday, Peggy! 🎂

🏍️ Newton House residents enjoyed a fantastic outing to the Transport Museum — and what a trip down memory lane it was!

🏖️ Templeton Place brought the beach to them with a colourful seaside-themed party – mocktails, music and sunshine vibes all around.

🧶💛 A Heartfelt Gesture from Our Knit & Natter Clubs 💛🧶

We’re so proud of the wonderful residents at Elstow Manor Care Home and Richmond Manor Care Home, whose talented hands and warm hearts have been busy knitting blankets, tiny hats, and bonnets for babies in the Neo Natal Units at Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital.

At 92, Richmond Manor resident Barbara Fairey summed it up beautifully:

“We’re a very sociable group and we enjoy creating things, so when we heard that we could make a difference to the babies in hospital, we jumped at the opportunity.”
