Today Daisy and Buddy had a lovely visit to Durban House Nursing Home 🐹💛

They truly enjoyed meeting the residents, and of course, being treated to their favourite snacks of parsley and fresh leaves! 🌿

There were gentle strokes, heartwarming stories shared about beloved pets, and plenty of laughter - especially when Daisy and Buddy showed off their cheeky personalities with their enthusiastic salad grabs! 😂

Moments like these are so special. It was wonderful to hear genuine laughter, see warm smiles, and experience those meaningful moments of connection and eye contact. My heart feels warm 💛 and reminds me why I started Daisy Buds 🌼 🐾

Daisy and Buddy had a lovely visit today meeting residents at Marie Louise House 💛🐹
They especially enjoyed bringing smiles and laughter during 1:1 room visits for those unable to get out of bed. Such special, gentle moments that mean so much 🐾💛

It was also so special to hear residents sharing their memories of pets they’ve loved over the years. From childhood companions to family favourites. Those stories really bring the visits to life and spark such meaningful conversations.

We had such a lovely visit to Rownhams Manor Care Home today 💛

It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear residents sharing how much comfort small animals bring to their day. Moments like these really remind us why we do what we do.

Daisy was certainly feeling hungry as always 🐹 while Buddy was keen to be part of everything going on around him 👀

Lots of wheeks, cuddles, and happy interactions all round! 🐹

Today Daisy, Buddy & I had the loveliest visit to Woodlands House Care Home - Hartford Care 💛

Buddy definitely found himself a new favourite friend & enjoyed a good little “chat,” being treated to some snacks, and then getting cosy for a peaceful lap nap 🐹✨

It was so special hearing residents share stories about the pets they had when they were younger. So many remembered having guinea pigs and spoke about the joy, comfort, and companionship they brought to their childhoods. Those moments of connection really are what Daisy Buds is all about 🌼

Thank you for having us, Woodlands – we can’t wait to come back again soon 💫

Why guinea pigs? 💛🐹

These little companions may be small, but their impact is incredibly powerful. From calming the nervous system to reducing loneliness, supporting memory, and helping with emotional regulation — guinea pigs offer gentle, meaningful support across all ages and settings 🌼

I’ve personally experienced the calm and comfort they bring, and I’ve had the privilege of seeing that same impact in others — from quiet smiles and shared moments, to visible relaxation and connection 💛

Whether it’s a quiet cuddle, a moment of connection, or a spark of memory, their soft presence helps people feel safe, seen, and soothed.

Behind the scenes of our “perfect” Easter photoshoot… 🐣💛

What was supposed to be a calm, cute moment for Daisy Buds quickly turned into:
🐹 Piggies attempting a full escape mission
🥕 Carrots being prioritised over posing
🐶 Molly deciding she must be involved
…and me trying (and failing) to get that one perfect shot 😅

But honestly, this is what Daisy Buds is all about — real, gentle, joyful moments (with a little bit of chaos thrown in 🫶)
