We have had a lovely afternoon with Andy. Andy had his own dementia journey with his mum and cared for her at home until she passed away in 2022.
Andy has used his own experience with dementia and chosen to pay it back by performing free of charge to others that may be suffering from dementia.
Andy, thank you!

It started so sedately… but soon ended up in the most well-deserved celebration 🎉
So much love and laughter was had by all 🤩
Sharon has certainly enjoyed herself this afternoon!
See you tomorrow for lunch 😜 as you take your managers hat off and become the cook!

January 2026 marks 35years at Ashfields for Sharon. Sharon started her career at Ashfields, later also turning her hand to our sister home Genesis. As stated today, she is not only the manager, cook, laundry assistance, chauffeur and general dogs body but she is also a friend and much loved, and respected co-worker. Sharon goes above and beyond for everybody, no job is too big or too small.
Sharon, congratulations on completing 35yrs…
On behalf of all the staff and residents at both Ashfields and Genesis, I want to thank you for all of your love and support, always.
Thankyou to everyone who participated in today, as much as she doesn’t like being the centre of attention, I think it’s safe to say she’s had a lovely afternoon! She even earned herself a medal 🥇 which I’m sure she will treasure.
As your card states… here’s to the next 35 years 🥂 xx
